The 2024 Åland State coup d'état attempt was a coup attempt in the Åland State where French Republic royalists attempted to overthrow the Åland States government and reform the French Republic.[1] The coup would start in Börkö. The police would be the first to respond to the coup. The royalists would dig into positions to defend against the Åland Armed Forces. This would disrupt vote counting for the first election. A ceace fire would begin.[2] The MADF would arrive to the area. The royalists would declare the Second French Republic on 1 March 2024. The Åland Armed Forces would crush the coup on the 2 March.[3]
