The military history of the Åland State began with the 2023 French Republic coup d'état which would be the begining of the Åland State. The Åland Armed Forces would be founded in 2024. In 2024 the Åland Armed Forces would fight against French Republic loyalists and the Second French Republic in the 2024 Åland State coup d'état attempt where the Åland Armed Forces would win.
Early coups
The Åland State would be founded after the 2023 French Republic coup d'état where the Freedom Brigades and MADF would form the Freedom Coalition. The Freedom Coalition would fight the French Republic government on 15 December 2023. The Freedom Coalition would win and overthrow the French Republic government. The Freedom Brigades would leave the area ack to Godby but the MADF would stay and found the Åland State. Axel Himberg would state at this time that the military would have the most amount of government spending.
On 1 March 2024, French Republic loyalists would start a coup against the Åland State government. The French Republic loyalists would found the Second French Republic that was supposed to take over the Åland State. A ceace fire would be signed for one day. The Åland Armed Forces would destroy the French Republic loyalists leading to the end of the Second French Republic.
On 11 April 2024, the Åland State-Jurassicland Mutual Defence Agreement would be signed between the Åland State and Jurassicland where if one is attacked the other one will help the other one militarily. The Åland State would send peace keeping forces to Källbo officialy getting involved in the Källbo Insurgency.
Långgrunds Defence Pact-Medieval war
Operation SOW would take place on 12 April 2024 to gain intelligence on the Empire of Medieval. The Åland State would do this operation after the Empire of Medieval would do an incursion into the territory of the Marius Empire who both are in the Långgrunds Defence Pact. On 14 April 2024, the Långgrunds Defence Pact including the Åland State would go to war with Medieval. W would start a rebellion and civil war in the Åland State on 14 April 2024. The Battle of Sugg would begin. The war would end on 21 May 2024 with Åland State victory.
