Iohnanes I (born Seán O'Neill, 21 December 2006) is the founder and King of Exordia since 2024.
Iohannes founded Exordia in 2024, being proclaimed as its sovereign on 21 October 2024.
Iohannes has been involved in micronationalism since June 2017 with the founding of New Antrim. Iohannes is additionally involved in Elysium serving as the nation's Chancellor, Humberlea as Prime Minister and former senator in the Senate of Mediolaurentia, Fesmar as a former parliamentary speaker and Pontunia as a former Prime Minister and parliamentary speaker.
Early Life
Iohannes was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland on 21 December 2006. He would be baptized into the Catholic faith shortly after his birth. During his Primary school education it would be discovered that O'Neill was affected by developmental coordination disorder, at his primary school he undertook the sacraments of initiation before moving on to attend Secondary School where he completed his GCSE examinations attaining Two A*s in Business Studies and ICT, As in English Language, History and Religion, a B in Performing Arts and a C* in Mathematics.
In 2017, O'Neill founded New Antrim along with his family which started his micronational career. In 2020, New Antrim would become a part of the Kingdom of Daeltheria despite attempts to restore the nation in 2021 and 2023 - 2024.
Reign
Iohannes ascended to the throne of Exordia following it's founding on 21 October 2024. With his first acts as Monarch being the issuing of letters patent forming the [[State Council (Exordia) and Comhairle. On 24 October 2024, Iohannes established the great offices of state (Lord President, Lord Treasurer and Lord Privy Seal) and temporarily assumed the offices pending permanent appointments.
Personal Life
Iohannes is currently a practicing Roman Catholic having previously described himself as 'Agnostic' and 'Agnostic-Catholic'. Upon taking the 16Personalities quiz, Iohannes has stated that he has a INTP-T personality type. On 20 March 2024, O'Neill came out as Bisexual.
Iohannes is currently an amateur historian and performer. Having re-introduced himself to theater in 2023 Iohannes has been in a number of local theatrical productions.
Role in other nations
Elysium
Iohannes joined Elysium under his birth name, Seán O'Neill, in February 2020. O'Neill was first elected to the Grand Senate in July 2020, being re-elected in October 2020, January 2021, April 2021, July 2021, September 2022, May 2023, September 2023, May 2024 and a special election in August 2024.
O'Neill served as Deputy Chancellor of Elysium between April and November 2023 before being elected to lead the Progressive Party, briefly in December 2021 and again in February 2024. As Progressive Leader he led the Party into government twice in May 2024 and September 2024, on both occasions being appointed Chancellor with the National Democratic Party.
New Antrim
In 2017, Iohannes founded New Antrim under his birth name, Seán O'Neill. New Antrim participated in the August Uprising, joined the League of Independent Nations, and became a moderating chairman. Following the split between Alaurantia and the Nexan Republic, O'Neill sided with Alaurantia over the Nexus.
In 2020, O'Neill, then a Grand Senator in Elysium organised the annexation of New Antrim into Elysium.
In 2023, O'Neill attempted to restore the nation, however by 2024 the project had largely collapsed.
Humberlea
In 2023, at the personal invitation of Nicholas I, Iohannes joined Humberlea under the name Seán O'Neill-Dagda. O'NeilL-Dagda was elected as Prime Minister and as a representative Senator in the Mediolaurentian Senate in August 2023. In April 2024, O'Neill-Dagda announced his resignation.
Fesmar
Initially participating in Fesmar during 2020, in 2021 Iohannes, under his birth name Seán O'Neill was invited to rejoin Fesmar. Becoming a high-ranking Senator frequently being designated as a parliamentary speaker.
In August 2023, O'Neill led a coup against the Empress, Ann III with Elysiumite support. The coup however failed.
Pontunia
During 2024, Iohannes, under his birth name Seán O'Neill joined Pontunia. Being elected to the Pontunian Parliament, serving as it's speaker and briefly it's Prime Minister. O'Neill publically broke with his successor Eugune Smith, regarding his alleged misuses of power.
As Chancellor of Elysium, O'Neill encouraged Pontunia to become integrated into Elysium as a province. The plans were challenged by former Christoph Billung resulting in Pontunia withdrawing from the agreement.
