National Hero of Vishwamitra (Hindi: विश्वामित्र के राष्ट्रीय नायक) is the highest conferrable title of Vishwamitra. It was constituted and first conferred on 22 December 2021 by Rashtradhyaksh Varuna Sriraya through ROYAL DECREE No. - 226/2021: in order to recognize the highest and most significant services to the nation and its foundation in several eras. The title of National Hero outranks the highest civilian honorific title of Raj Ratna which is conferred for significant contributions towards Vishwamitra however is not restricted, but the title of National Hero is conferred on those who contributed to the struggle for the development of the nation and towards the eras of the development.

All recipients of the title are entitled with the highest privileges as decided by the Government of Vishwamitra and has been conferred mostly on national founders, including the three founders of the nation and the contributors to the process of transition to monarchy. Unlike the Raj Ratna and Raj Bhushan, the title of National Hero is restricted to all standing citizens only who have held the highest positions in the nation.

Recipients

The first inductions were made on 22 December 2021 following the constitution of the title. Nine highly distinguished individuals were granted with the honour for the highest levels of services and dedication towards national building and towards their voluntary and tireless support and contributions towards the nation.
