The National Assembly of the Arstotzkan Union or the National Assembly was the unicameral legislature and single legislative house of the National Government of the Arstotzkan Union, Arstotzkan National Government, and Arstotzkan Federal Government as wells as the upper house of the Arstotzkan Union National Government. The National Assembly was divided on 16 March 2021, and it became the Arstotzkan Federal Congress and the Arstotzkan People's Senate, later the Arstotzkan Sovereign Senate, then the Arstotzkan State Senate and finally the House of Representatives of the Arstotzkan Union.
Under the National Assembly the two major things established were Arstotzkan High Command and the Federalisation of the Arstotzkan Union.
The National Assembly of the Arstotzkan Union stood as the oldest house in the Arstotzkan Union, successfully hosting three sessions and moving into its fourth before it was dissolved.
History
On 22 August 2019, the Arstotzkan Union National Government, the nations first government was established and so was the National Assembly. A joint session of the two legislatures of the AUNG wrote the first constitution and the Amendment of Law (2019). In the National Assembly on 18 September 2019, while the assembly was reading the Border Protection Act, the first major piece of legislation in the Arstotzkan Union, the Minister of Defense, Piran McGee, led a coup against the government and forced the President to dissolve the Arstotzkan Union. This became known as the First Civil Conflict.
The National Assembly was formed to be the legislative body of the new Arstotzkan National Government, after the conclusion of the First Civil Conflict and during the first Reconstruction Period. During the Second Civil Conflict, the National Assembly was divided and the President, Vice President and Minister of Transport, who were also in the Presidential Cabinet, formed the Underground Government of the Arstotzkan Union from the Upper Presidential Cabinet.
The power of the National Assembly was returned when following the conclusion of the Second Civil Conflict and the Arstotzkan Wars altogether.
Sessions
The National Assembly served as an important legislature in the history of the Arstotzkan Union, having four sessions over its nearly three year life span.
First Session of the National Assembly (22 Aug. 2019 - 18 Sept. 2019)
In this time the National Assembly was the upper house of the Arstotzkan Union National Government and only passed one piece of legislation however it was in the process of passing a second before the start of the Arstotzkan Wars.

Second Session of the National Assembly (25 Nov. 2019 - 6 Dec. 2019)
The shortest session of the National Assembly when it was re-established as the upper house of the new Arstotzkan National Government until the December 2019 Coup which overthrew the new Brinkman Administration.

Third Session of the National Assembly (5 Feb. 2020 - 30 Dec. 2020)
The longest session of the National Assembly following its second re-establishment after the Arstotzkan Wars and the new creation of the National Government of the Arstotzkan Union. The legislature changed over the year as more parties were included leading to a democratic election in May which eventually returned the country to a single party state.
Fourth Session of the National Assembly (5 Jan. 2021 - 16 March 2021)
One of the shortest sessions but one of the most important in the nations history as the Arstotzkan Union formed its first bicameral legislature since the start of the Arstotzkan Wars in 2019. On 16 March 2021, First President Zion Ormsby forced the dissolution of the National Assembly and the formation of the Arstotzkan Federal Congress, which had been operating as the upper house since 3 December 2020 and the Arstotzkan People's Senate which eventually became the House of Representatives.
