The Border Protection Act was a controversial piece of Arstotzkan Legislation. The Border Protection Act was proposed on 17 September 2019. Drafting was to be commenced on September 18th, however after being proposed to the National Assembly, the Minister of Defense, Piran McGee, denounced the President, sparking the First Civil Conflict and the Arstotzkan Wars. Later, on 25 November 2019, immediately following the conclusion of the First Civil Conflict the Border Protection Act was proposed again and it was approved for drafting by the National Assembly.
After many months of stalling and consultation with the reformed National Assembly, the Act was repealed from drafting and pulled altogether. The Land and Territories Act 2020 was announced to take the place of the Border Protection Act on 3 March 2021. The Crimes Act 2022 has also incorporated parts of the Border Protection Act.
