History and Role
The Arstotzkan State Senate was established on the 16th March 2021, when the National Assembly of the Arstotzkan Union was dissolved and broken up into the Arstotzkan Federal Congress and the Arstotzkan People's Senate and then it became the Arstotzkan Sovereign Senate and officially combined the Arstotzkan Territorial Government (at the time) and the State Government of Arstotzka (at the time), before finally becoming the Arstotzkan State Senate. It was decided that the Congress would be the upper legislative house and the Senate be the lower house and be in charge of the state of Arstotzka and the Territories of the Arstotzkan Union.
On April 7, 2021, it was decided that the Senate was not able to suit the purpose of the legislative branch of the Arstotzkan Federal Government and thus was re-organized into the House of Representatives of the Arstotzkan Union.
Legacy
The Arstotzkan State Senate was never mentioned to members of the public nor was it announced, however information about the house was available on the National Information page of the Constitution.
