Federal Territories of the Arstotzkan Union
The Federal Territories of the Arstotzkan Union constitute the sub-regional political and administrative divisions that form the federal union. As of now, the Arstotzkan Union is composed of seventeen federal territories.
In 2023, a significant shift occurred in the organizational structure of these territories. Each federal territory was restructured into a state, a departure from their previous status as loosely organized dependent entities. This transformation was a result of major reforms implemented in 2022, which aimed to consolidate these territories under a more robust central government.
The largest cluster of territories is found within the Rangitaiki state, which encompasses ten territories.
The governance of these territories falls under the jurisdiction of the Territorial Commander, the highest-ranking official and the representative of each territory to the State Council. The Arstotzkan Union has eleven such commanders, many of whom exert authority over multiple territories. This power is often attributed to their affiliation with the territory or their elevated rank within the federal government.
Ethan Brinkman, the First President of the Arstotzkan Union, also serves as the Territorial Commander for four territories.
History
First Territories of the Arstotzkan Union
In late December 2019, President Ethan Brinkman and other members of the Underground Government began the territory initiative, then known as the Territorial Base and International Sovereignty Program. On 27 December 2019, while residing at the Angliyskiy Territory, then known as AUDF Base: Fort Aromaunga, President Ethan Brinkman made the area a sovereign part of the Arstotzkan Union as well as his home, then also known as AUDF Base: Fort Maungatapu (Gollandiya Capitol Territory).
Following the conclusion of the Arstotzkan Wars, Ethan Brinkman began discussions with the former DLPA head, and established a territory in Invercargill (Angliya Territory), which would also be home to an embassy to New Zealand.
These three territories became known as the First Territories and have remained vital to the history and development of the nation
Second Territories of the Arstotzkan Union
Months later on 14 September 2020, the number of territories in the Arstotzkan Union shot from three to eight which has been one of the largest expansions of the nation by number of Territories. The territorial expansion was predominately focused around Tauranga, New Zealand.
Following the creation of the second Territories, the National Government of the Arstotzkan Union formed the Oversight Government for Overseas Territories
