Gollandiya Capitol Territory is a federal territory of the Arstotzkan Union and is the capital territory of the State of Rangitaiki as well as being home to the capital city of the Arstotzkan Union, Unitya. The territory was formed along with the Angliyskiy Territory and was one of the two first territories of the new nation.
Founded on 27 December 2019 the Gollandiya Capitol Territory is one of the oldest territorial claims of the Arstotzkan Union and has been the home of the most important individuals in Arstotzkan politics. The main government buildings at 13 Union Dr have served as the Presidential Residence since the nations founding, except for a short time in 2021.
In early 2023 with the passing of the Land and Territories Act 2023, the Gollandiya Territory was renamed to the Gollandiya Capitol Territory and became the new home of the federal government. However in early 2024, the territory was expanded from 0.0026km2 to 0.26km2.
Along with the territorial expansion, the new city of Unitya was created in the Gollandiya Capitol Territory and it serves as the capital city of the nation.
History
The residence at the Gollandiya Territory has existed long before the founding of the Arstotzkan Union. On 27 December 2019, Ethan Brinkman established the first territories of the Arstotzkan Union with Gollandiya being founded minutes after Angliyskiy. Originally it was known as AUDF Base: Maungatapu until the name was eventually changed to Gollandiya Territory.
With amendments to the Land and Territories Act in 2021, the Gollandiya Territory was extended to be larger and incorporate neighbouring buildings to aid in defense and national security matters.
In late 2022, the Arstotzkan Federal Government officially left the Arstotzkan Union Proper and on 11 January 2023, Gollandiya officially became the new capital city of the Arstotzkan Union with the passing of the Land and Territories Act 2023.
