Jakob BVG CSD KCW (born Connor Modena; 31 August 1990) is the first and current Prince of the Commonwealth of Dracul, since 4 December 2022. He is also the head of the reigning royal house of Von Gerichten.
Prince Jakob was born as Connor Modena on 31 August 1990 in the City of Folsom, California as the first born of Theodore “Ted” Modena and Kerry Ann Isbell.
House Von Gerichten
At the age of 18, Prince Jakob assumed the position of the head of the House Von Gerichten. He was raised on the House Von Gerichten estate of Ringold Grounds and attended schooling with a passion for history, in particular military history. He has continued the traditional requirements of the House in military service.
At the age of 17, Prince Jakob was enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served as a combat engineer. As a Marine, he deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan conducting route clearance missions searching and removing IED’s. With the 31st MEU he has deployed on multiple humanitarian missions in Southeast Asia to include the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Disaster in 2011.
Prince Jakob began his micronational career in late October 2020 by researching about the community. In the beginning, he considered creating his own micronation, instead later opting to join a nation. While researching micronations he came across the Commonwealth of Dracul and soon became a citizen.
Prince Jakob entered into politics during a loll in Bran District and announced his candidacy for Mayor. He won the election with 82% of the vote and quickly began to centralize the Bran City Council. On 13 January 2021, he resigned as the Mayor citing personal reasons.
He was the running mate of Stephen Luke in the 2021 presidential election and both were elected unopposed. He was formally sworn-in as the second vice president of Dracul on 6 January 2022 succeeding Luke who took over as the second president.
In September 2022, following the announcement of changes to the government and the nation's transition to a monarchy, President Luke assumed the position of the Chancellor as the head of the government and he subsequently became the Vice Chancellor on 5 September.
Following the refusal of James I of Great Hanover to take over the throne of Dracul only days prior to his formal installation scheduled for 1 December 2022, a nationwide election took to choose the prince. Vice Chancellor Modena, now Prince Jakob, and Robert Fensome-Kemp were the official candidates who announced their candidacy. Jakob won by a handsome majority gaining 62.6% of the total votes and was formally declared elect to the royal throne.
His installation as the nation's first prince is expected to be scheduled for January 2023.
Prince Jakob began his military career in the Dracul Army in conjunction with his citizenship. Entering the army as a Sergeant due to his prior-enlisted service in the United States Marines. Soon he achieved the rank of Sergeant First Class and billeted as acting Sergeant Major of the Army.
Due to internal affairs that saw former Secretary of Defense Hunter Prater leave office, he was appointed as the new Secretary of Defense and given a commission as a Lieutenant in the Dracul Navy. On 13 January 2021 he resigned his position as Secretary of Defense alongside his political seat due to family obligations.
On 6 February 2021, under the approval of Secretary of Defense Scott Jeanes, McGue was promoted to Colonel and given command of the newly formed Geheimdienst, or Secret Service. As of 8 February 2021, he was made Deputy Secretary of Defense.
On 17 February 2021 the Geheimdienst was absorbed into the Dracul Army and disbanded. He took a voluntary demotion to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and appointed Deputy Commander of the Army.
Prince Jakob was made Military Governor of Bran District due to corruption in its government resulting in martial law and promoted to the rank of Colonel.
Later on Jakob was promoted to the rank of General for his long and dedicated service to Dracul. McGue also served as the Academy Commandant of Prezan Military Academy.
As of 19 September 2022, Prince Jakob was promoted to Field Marshal.
On 20 September 2021, Jakob along with Scott O’Tucker formed the Territory of Breco, a protectorate of Dracul.
As of 6 May 2022, the Irish Federation of Breco made its declaration of independence from the Commonwealth of Dracul.

Prince Jakob is married and has two children residing in Sands, New Cork, Irish Federation of Breco. He credits him becoming a father as “...the day I got my shit together”.
Prince Jakob is active with Veteran Suicide Awareness and an advocate for Veterans Assistance in the State of Louisiana, participating regularly in events and fundraisers to help fellow veterans gain the help and assistance they need.
