His Majesty's Coastguard (HMCG) is a branch of the His Majesty's Navy responsible for the initiation and co-ordination of all maritime search and rescue (SAR) within the Kingdom of Ikonia. This includes the mobilisation, organisation and tasking of adequate resources to respond to persons either in distress at sea, or to persons at risk of injury or death on the cliffs or shoreline of the Kingdom. It is also responsible for land based search.
His Majesty's Coastguard is commanded titularly by the Chief of the Naval Staff – a position held by the Duke of Nikodemia, and Chief of the Coastguard Staff, which is currently held by Sir Jonathan Raju.
