The Communist Party of Baustralia is a Baustralian party, and a break away from the Liberal Party of Baustralia, stemming its origins from the original Worker's Party. It was founded on 16 February 2022 by Aidan McGrath.

In just 10 days, the Communist Party had gained more seats in Parliament than the Liberal Party, the opposition party. They are on equal standing in the House of Commons, thus not assuming the position of opposition.

On 26 March 2022, 3 MPs and 4 Lords were removed from Parliament in accordance with the Political Activities Act. On 3 May 2022, after a lawsuit filed by McGrath, section 3 of the Act was repealed after being deemed in violation of the Human Rights Act. 4 Lords were returned, and the 3 MPs were invited back, but only 2 returned.

Ban and return to Parliament

In response to the rapid growth of the party, the Prime Minister, Lady Ella Parker introduced an Act of Parliament which bans the Communist Party from Parliament after 26 March 2022. McGrath is in the process of filing for lawsuit against the Act, stating section 6 is unconstitutional.

The Political Activities Act prohibits bribery, employment or promotion in exchange for votes, as well as prohibits fascist, authoritarian, communist parties, and such, from sitting in Parliament. An order was given to allow 30 days from enactment for reorganization.

The party did not reorganize, and was removed from Parliament. After a ruling in the House of Lords, the ban was reversed.
