The Baustralian Civil War was a civil war in the Baustralian Empire starting on 22 April 2020, fought between the revolutionary Republic of Baustralia and the revolutionary monarchist Underground Alliance. The civil war began primarily as a result of the controversial prerogative of His Majesty the King. 24 September, after the Underground Rebellion signed an act of surrender, the civil war was considered over.

Background

It was started as an attempt to gain the Baustralian throne after discussing what laws had to be modified in order to bind the King of Baustralia by law in accordance with the Monarchy (Immunity) Act. After seeing that the Act stated that laws had to be modified to explicitly state they bound the King, the Underground Alliance, the party of four and the defendants, tried to try him for criminal mischief. After they were made aware that treason was not yet a charge that bound the King, they uprose and declared a rebellion along with Viscount Parker. After being tried for and charged with treason or high treason and conspiring to commit mutiny in Rex v. Greenson, they declared civil war.

On 11 May 2020, at 00:00 EDT, the provisional republic surrendered as they realized that the Kingdom has a very small pro-republic base, and would have no support. They figured the Underground Alliance had a better chance of success due to their monarchist stance. They signed the instrument of surrender at 23:45 EDT, 15 minutes prior. He was charged with violating the charter of the Great Lakes Council and was ordered to give up the North Fox Island to join the Colony of Fox Islands.

On 20 May 2020, Ella Parker of the Underground Rebellion defected into Baustralia, and was forced to serve four years in His Royal Air Force with the title of the Horrible as punishment for high treason. This was commuted to treason by King John, with the title of the Horrible removed and four-year service was reduced to one.

On 23 September, Reagan Greenson signed the instrument of surrender on behalf of the Underground Rebellion. It came into effect on 24 September at midnight, marking an end to the Baustralian civil war. She surrendered on a reduced sentence of 1 year probation and service in His Royal Air Force.
