The Ministry for the Environment is the Überstadti governmental department responsible for environmental policy. It was created in January 2012 as part of the original cabinet, and is today one of the three government ministries constitutionally required to be filled. It is led by the Minister for the Environment, presently Dominique Montour.
Responsibilities
The Ministry for the Environment holds a variety of roles related to protecting Überstadt's natural environment, including:
- Researching environmental issues and proposing solutions
- Managing the national parks
- Approving new roads and trails
- Advising on the environmental impact of proposed projects
