The Government of Galway City is the Government in the province of Galway City, a subdivision and official capital of the Roscami Federation. The government was set on the 4th of March 2022, which ended the few months of direct rule by the central government after the abolition of the ministerial office of Chancellor of Galway City.

The government is granted its current powers by the Provincial Government Act, which was signed into law on the 6th of January 2023.

History

The province of Galway City was established in April 2021. The office of Chancellor of Galway City, a Minister in the Cabinet of Roscamistan. The office was granted to Kayden Conboy upon its creation and served until the 23rd of June 2021. The office was then given to Chris Waldron on the 4th of July 2021. After his removal in the so-called Reforms of November in November 2021, the office was abolished, and direct rule was instituted by the Cabinet of Roscamistan.

In early 2022, ideas were thrown around to provide a provincial government in Galway City, after seeing more gubernatorial offices were created for the provinces. On the 4th of March that year, the office of Governor of Galway City was created as the appointed head of the provincial government. Ludwig Collins, President of the neighbouring Ballinfoyleburg and Roscami cabinet minister, was appointed as Governor. Marco Hasse was appointed to the office of Lieutenant Governor, created by the Lieutenant Governors Act on the 25th of April 2022.

He remained in office after Executive Order 45 was signed on the 15th of May 2022. The order mandated the formation of the eight regions of the province, creation of a Provincial Assembly, an elected Governor, a Council of Ministers and a Superior Court. Elections for the Governor and the Provincial Assembly took place on the 3rd of June 2022.

On the 20th of July 2022, May Collins was appointed Lieutenant Governor after Hasse was removed from the office because of the Two Day War.
