Etymology
The name “Benjastan” comes from the first name of Ben Olson, the first President of Benjastan.
Government
Benjastan is a presidential republic, which operates under a multi-party system. Similar to some macronations, including the United States of America, Benjastan's government is run in three branches. Each of these branches oversee a separate part of the Benjastanian Government, ensuring the separation of powers.
Executive
The executive branch consists of the President, Vice President, First Secretary, and the Cabinet. The cabinet is made-up of Secretaries, each of whom run a specific section of the Benjastanian executive. These include the Treasury, the Department of Labour, the Department of the State, and several others. The President is the Chair of Cabinet, and the First Secretary, an elected position, represents the legislative branch in the cabinet. The incumbent President is Ben Olson, the incumbent Vice President is Sha'uri Ellis, and the incumbent First Secretary is Gus Rósínśtí.
Legislative
The Legislative Branch of the Benjastanian Government consists of the People's National Congress, which is elected by the people of Benjastan every three months.
Judicial
Unlike many other countries, the Judicial Branch of Benjastan is elected. Every three months, an election is held for members of the Judicial Assembly, with one elected from each of three geographic districts. These members serve as a body similar to a Jury. As well as this, a Chairperson of the Judicial Assembly is elected annually. The current chair is Tovor Kimyona.
Picklism
The ideology followed by the Democratic Republic of Benjastan is known as "Picklism". The main philosopher of the ideology is Ben Olson, the President of Benjastan. Picklism is a mixture of Agrarian Socialism, Luxemburgism, and Democratic Confederalism. It has four central tenants, known as the "guidelines for the people". These tenants are Democracy, Socialism, Agrarianism, and Confederalism.

Mainland Benjastan is located in Ontario, Canada. Its location is known only to the President, his family, and the highest ranking members of the Benjastanian Government. Benjastan's extended territories include Brissenden Island (located in Quebec, Canada), Cupboardio (located in Ontario, Canada), and the Nith River Territory (Ontario, Canada).
