Ben Olson is a Canadian retired micronationalist who founded Benjastan in 2017. He served as Benjastan’s first and only president and was also a prominent politician in Georgienstine as a leader of the country’s left-wing opposition. He retired from micronationalism in 2023 and has been critical of the hobby, arguing that it is harmful to youth who are seeking to engage with politics by placing them in echo chambers that foster political extremism.
