Daisy Drake is a Austrovian politician, Member of the Reichstag for Marymac, former Reich Chancellor, former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Austrovia, former Minister of State for New Pugnasia, Queen of Marymac, and former Vice Chancellor. She was one of the candidates for the 2nd Austrovian Federal Election. Along with Reginald Smith, Tyrone Lee, and her grandson, Andy Irons, she is considered one of the most influential micronationalists of the "Etiwanda Micronational Sector".
Micronational career
On September 25, 2015, with the help of her grandson, Andy Irons, she created the Kingdom of Marymac. She proclaimed herself Queen of this new Kingdom, which was called a constitutional monarchy but was really an absolute monarchy, and began to create her government. She created the first organized government in the Etiwanda Micronational Sector's history. Although considered democratic, the ministers of her government were directly appointed by her.
On September 5, 2016, exactly twenty days before Marymac's first birthday, she signed a treaty, allowing the Greater Federation of New Pugnasia to annex the Kingdom, an re found it as a state. This is when she truly began her political career. She was appointed governor of the new state by then President Josef Hernandez, and became the first elected member of the Grand Assembly. She was one of the campaign managers for the re election of Josef and Andy, and was appointed Minister of State for her service.
Daisy also supported the creation of the New Pugnasian Monarchy, but unlike her reward for helping the new Emperor get re elected, she was never appointed to a noble position. She continue to serve under Andy as Minister of State, and became the candidate for the 4th General Election for the conservative Progress Party, but the Empire collapsed due to inactivity.
Unlike other officials of the Empire, she continued to support the successors, like Tyferria and New America. In Tyferria, she was appointed Chancellor of the Senate, and in New America, she was appointed Deputy of the Parliament. She was a member of the Conservative Party of Tyferria and the Unionist Party of New America, and served until their dissolutions.
When Austrovia was formed, she became the Vice President, while Andy became President. She served as the head of government and acting Speaker until the creation of the Monarchy of Austrovia. She was appointed Reich Chancellor after Andy accended to the throne, and is the only Reich Chancellor directly appointed by the Emperor. She did not run for re election in the 1st Austrovian Federal Election, but declared her candidacy for the second one. When she was Reich Chancellor, she served as an independent conservative, but she joined the National Populists for her election campaign. She tied with Democratic candidate and rivial Reginald Smith. Luckily, they reached an agreement, Smith would become the Reich Chancellor while Drake became the Vice Chancellor.
She was appointed as Monarch of Marymac on April 12, 2018 by the Emperor. The National Populist and Democratic Coalition would eventually unite to form the National Democratic Populist Party, which is the largest party in Austrovia. When the Council of State was created, she was appointed as one of the members. On July 6, 2018 she was replaced as Vice Chancellor with Anthony Easton to secure a coalition deal.
Political Views
Daisy considers herself a conservative, even though she was apart of the Democratic Party for the longest time. She considers herself also as a bipartisan since she has voted for both Democratic and Republican candidates before. She supports the Trump Administration but has voted for Obama in the past. She has also voted for Bush, since she wasn't to happy with John Kerry. She also voted for Ross Perot, since she disliked both Bill Clinton and George Bush Sr.
