Anthony Easton is a Cathenian and former Austrovian politician who currently served as an Assemblyman in Cathenia. Easton previously served as Reich Chancellor of Austrovia before being removed after attempting the overthrow the government.
Micronational career
Easton first learned of micronationalism while overhearing a conversation between Andy Irons and Reginald Smith. Like most politicians in Austrovia, he joined New Pugnasia and created the Socialist Party. He was unable to run for office since New Pugnasia dissolved a few days after he joined. He quickly joined its successor, the United Kingdom of America and joined the Social Democrats. He joined the Socialist Party after the SoDems split, and became Mistress Tabitha's deputy and "protege".
Until November 2017, Easton stayed out of politics until he was appointed by former friend Albert Gilbertson as Chief Advisor of the Socialist Party. He eventually left the party and founded his own party, the Communist and Socialist Party, which was considered one of the dominant parties in the left side of Austrovian Politics.
Since his party was one of the most disliked parties, he merged the party with Jayden Hyde's Liberty Now and Jonathan Ly's Justice Party. The party won a few seats in the 3rd Austrovian Reichstag Election and was able to secure 24% of the vote in the 3rd Austrovian Federal Election. Easton was later appointed on July 6 of the same year as Vice Chancellor to secure a coalition with the National Democratic Populists.
In December 2018, Easton was narrowly elected Reich Chancellor after beating his brother, Christopher. As Reich Chancellor, the nation's activity began to decrease. On June 16, 2019 the people of Austrovia voted him out of office. In response, Easton attempted to overthrow the monarchy and form a socialist republic. He was promptly removed from office and arrested but was able to obtain Cathenian Political Immunity, making him immune to international charges.
Personal beliefs
Easton is a non-practicing Roman Catholic. Easton is also a radical socialist who supports the Democratic Socialists of America. He is also is a supporter of Bernie Sanders and pledges 'to support him until he dies'.
