The College of Muthrasart or Queenslandian College of Arms is a royal corporation consisting of professional officers of arms, with jurisdiction over Queensland. The heralds are appointed by the Queenslandian Sovereign and are delegated authority to act on behalf of the Crown in all matters of heraldry, the granting of new coats of arms. The College is also the official body responsible for matters relating to the flying of flags on land, and it maintains the official registers of flags and other national symbols. Though a part of the Royal Household of Queensland.
History
The Muthrasart College was formerly known as The Genealogical Office was established on 16 March 2017. It was established under the Genealogical Office Charter until 6 March 2023, The Duke of Kaipara as Earl Marshal applied for a new charter to replace the old one and the name was amended charter from "Genealogical Office" is "Muthrasart College", which is a reading word that comes from Thai means heraldry.
The Charter of the College of Muthrasart was granted its Charter on 16 May 2023, with the approval of the Privy Council on 12 April 2023.
