Administrative divisions of Nova-Occitania

The administrative divisions of Nova-Occitania are concerned with the institutional and territorial organization of the Occitanian territory. There are administrative divisions, which may have political (local government), electoral (districts), or administrative (decentralized services of the state) objectives.
Constituencies
Constituencies are defined by the New constituencies Act. They combine several federal elements and are used for federal and electoral purposes.

Territories
The territories are all the political and territorial entities that are part of the Union of Nova-Occitania. There are two juridical types of territories :
- Viguerie : Standard administrative division, it benefits via a statute of autonomy of advantages which it chooses from a list established in the Constitution. The name "Viguerie" comes from medieval administrative jurisdictions in the South of France and in Catalonia. This term was formalized by presidential decree 2020/8.[1]
- Dependency: Uninhabited territories and governed by a governor appointed by the president and subject to a specific law.[2]
