Administrative Divisions of Bradonia

The Administrative divisions of the Kingdom of Bradonia are concerned with the institutional and territorial organization of national territory belonging to the Kingdom of Bradonia. The Kingdom of Bradonia is a unitary state consisting of one royal municipality, six royal provinces, and one autonomous region. Each administrative division is governed differently from one another, due to their different forms of local government, with some divisions having more autonomy than others, with some divisions being governed by governors, some by lord protectors, and some by their local government of choice within the bounds of Bradonia.

The administrators of the divisions, whether it be a governor or lord protector, serve as the executive head of their divisions and are mainly responsible for enforcing Bradiotic Law, and the will of the Monarch. All administrators answer to/and govern in the name of the Monarch and are appointed by them, at their pleasure, to serve as long as they, please. Territorial administrators, beyond enforcing the will of the law, and of the Monarch, do not have much power of their own and must consult the monarch, if they wish to make the legislation of their own, so most of them are ceremonial

Royal Municipalities

The Royal Municipalities of Bradonia, are autonomous city-states that possess more self-government than Royal Provinces and are ruled by either a Lord-Mayor or a Lady-Mayoress, who like Lord-Goveners and Lady-Governesses, are a hereditary position. Although Royal Municipalities possess more power than the Royal Provinces, the Royal Municipalities are heavily influenced by the Royal Bradonian Government, and in some cases, like in the case of Tseleryna share the Monarch as the Lord-Mayor.

Unlike Royal Provinces, the Royal Municipalities have much more self-developed governments, usually consisting of a Lord-Mayor or a Lady-Mayoress and a General-Secretariat, who acts as a nominal "Prime Minister" to the Lord-Mayor or Lady-Mayoress. Both the Lord-Mayor and the General-Secretariat are responsible for enforcing the authority and will of the Monarch, and like Lord-Goveners and Lady-Governesses must consult and seek the approval of the Monarch if they wish to propose or initiate changes within their according domains.

Currently, as of 2023, there is only one Royal Municipality, Tseleryna

Royal Provinces

The Royal Provinces of Bradonia are the primary administrative divisions within Bradonia that constitute a majority of the territory governed within Bradonia. The Royal Provinces serve as administrative divisions rather than federal units unlike in the United States of America, and additionally lack any form of self-government with the exception of a Lord-Govoner or Lady-Governesses who is appointed by Monarch, and is a hereditary position. Lord-Govoners and Lady-Governesses possess all forms of executive, legislative, and judicial powers within their domains, and must consult and seek the approval of the Monarch if they wish to propose or initiate changes within their according domains.
