The Scott Island district is the only overseas territory of the Dale Republic and is the first antarctic territory since the end of the Dale Empire on the 22 September 2011. The district is made up of two islands, Scott Island and the smaller island of Haggits Pillar.
The district was claimed from the New Zealand claim of the Ross Dependency. Both islands are uninhabitated and the larger island, Scott Island was used for an automatic weather station on the island from December 1987 to March 1999.
