The Delsh-Westlandian Federal Republic uses a federal form of governance. The federal government, manned by the President of the Federal Republic and the First Ministers of Caladonia, New Dale and Westland. The Federal Government handles along with the official institutions all national matters which will effect the Delsh-Westlandian Federal Republic as a whole. While sub-national matters, those that will only effect the Republic of Caladonia, Republic of New Dale or Republic of Westland solely are handled by their respective local governments.
The President of the Federation is the head of state but most executive power is with the unicameral Federal Parliament, of which the President has one seat in. The cabinet are self appointed by the Federal Parliament. Each constituent state has one First Minister which acts as representative to the state in the Federal Parliament and are also the regional head of government of each state. The Federal Parliament is expanded as new First Ministers for new constituent states are merged into the federal republic or created from existing members of the federal republic. The Federal Parliament have no expected limit to the number of members. The legislature is known as the Federal Parliament. The Federal Parliament is a unicameral body. Each state is given one seat who is elected as the First Minister of that respective state, one seat is also given to the President of the Federal Republic.
There are also 2 sub-national legislatures, the Caladonian Parliament of the Republic of Caladonia and the Dale-Guildford Council, a joint legislature of the Republic of New Dale and the Guildford Federal City. The Republic of Westland does not have a sub-national legislature. The purpose of the local governments is to handle matters which cannot be covered by the Federal Parliament because it is not within its jurisdiction which is only matters effect 2 or more republics and not of any individual republics.
The Delsh-Westlandian Federal Republic is a federal union comprised of 3 administrative divisions, called republics, this should not confused with their independent status prior to joining the federation, these republics are currently the Republic of New Dale, the Republic of Westland and the Republic of Caladonia. The two founding micronations which formed the Delsh-Westlandian Federal Republic, made a transfer and integration of national symbols, territory and previously established cultures, such as independent national football teams and Delsh and Westlandian languages. The republics of New Dale, Caladonia and the Westland also have additional administrative divisions at sub-federal levels, the Republic of New Dale having 5 sub-divisions.

The Delsh-Westlandian Federal Republic first established diplomatic relations with the Ashukov Federation on November 18, 2013. No diplomatic relations were transferred when the federation was agreed and created. However, Dale-Westland does want to establish relations with previous allies or their successor states. President of the Federation has a strong emphisis with re-establishing with allies of the Dale Republic and not the Republic of New Dale who failed to establish any foreign relations before it agreed to create the Delsh-Westlandian Federal Republic. As well as this he has an emphasis on local micronations, those located within the same macronational boundaries of the republics, Scotland, South East of England and Greater London.

The currency is designed in a vertical display, an nontraditional style of currency with the sub-unit designed horizontal.
Three languages exist and are used in the Delsh-Westlandian Federal Republic, English, by far the largest and most used language. English is used in the governments process and is wide spread and shared between the two constituent states. There are also two minority languages, each spoken only in their respective state and not the other. These are Delsh, spoken in the Republic of New Dale and Westlandian, spoken in the Republic of Westland. There have been moves in Westland to make Westlandian the sole official language of the region, however the aim is not repeated with New Dale and Delsh.
The most popular sport in the Delsh-Westlandian Federal Republic is football, supported in all republics of the federations with each having a separate national teams created before they joined the Delsh-Westlandian Federal Republic as well as a single Dale-Westland national football team. Another, newly introduced sport by Dale-Westland is nugby football, a version of rugby developed before the creation of any of the republics near Guildford, United Kingdom.
Football is the most popular sport within the Delsh-Westlandian Federal Republic with both New Dale and Westland having separate representative teams. The two constituent states also have 2 separate football associations, the Dale Football Association and the Westlandian Football Association which each regulate football in their respective states, both of these bodies were founded before the creation of the Delsh-Westlandian Federal Republic. No rivalry exist between the two teams of New Dale and Westland with there being a larger rivalry existing between New Dale and Rukora as well as between New Dale and Senya, with neither having a real world fixture to date. New Dale and Westland have never played a fixture against each other. Upon the creation of the federation the two nations left open the possibility of creating a unified team but remain as separate "home nations" as they previously were.
Both nations led failed attempts to host intermicronational football competitions before the federation was created. The Dale Republic which preceded the Republic of New Dale led a failed attempt to host the 2013 MFA World Cup, the competition which was scheduled to be hosted by the successful bid by Senya was later cancelled. The Republic of Westland led an equally unsuccessful attempt to host the 2015 European Championship. However, unlike the Dale Republic's failed bid which resulted after losing the bid to Senya, Westland lost their bid because the competition was cancelled to be replaced by the rescheduled World Cup which is now due to take place in 2015 in London, although this will be organised by the MFA and not any single micronation.
On August 15, 2013, the idea of a Dale-Westland national football team was first proposed by the President of the federation as a way to field a 11-a-side football match, and possibly compete in the VIVA World Cup. The idea was approved by the Caladonian Football Association and Westlandian Football Association with some ideas being discussed by the FA's. Designed not to replace any of the existing FA's or national teams, the Dale-Westland national football team will be the first attempt for a single football team to represent the Delsh-Westlandian Federal Republic as well as the Dale-Westland Football Union which is a regional union of the FAs of the Delsh-Westlandian Federal Republic.
Nugby Football, is a non-contact team sport that was first developed and played at the Merrist Wood College, Surrey, United Kingdom in the early 21st century as an alternative form of mixed gender rugby, before being developed for micronational purposes by the Delsh-Westlandian Federal Republic in 2013. The sport was first suggested on the national forums as a micronationally exclusive sport which would follow closely to the rules developed at the Merrist Wood College but be adapted to work in competitions.
