Saleh A.H (born April 29) is an Indonesian-born Olovian statesman, serving as the first and current President of Olov. He also holds the position of incumbent Olovian Minister of Propaganda.

His political beliefs center around Sharia and militarism. Saleh's leadership has been influential in shaping diplomatic relations within the micronational community and advocating for sovereignty.

Personal life

Saleh was born on April 29, 2008, and is the eldest sibling of his family. Aside from holding offices within internationally unrecognized governments, Saleh is known for being a part of the Habsyi family clan.

Micronational career

Establishment of the Habasyah Sultanate

Saleh A.H. began to promote the concept of micronationalism in his community while serving as class president. During this time, he also became aware of secessionism. He later decided to create his own micronation as a self-governing state project. Following his interest in micronationalism, he established his own sultanate on March 15, 2021.

Reformation of Olov

After an external crisis in the sultanate, Saleh decided to officially reform the state as the Republic of Olov, serving as the successor to the previous sultanate. During the reformation, Saleh appointed his cousin, Musa Badegel, as the acting vice president. He also selected his classmates to serve as executives in the Olovian government cabinet, assigning them as ministers for each ministry.

First presidency and rise on nationalist-power (2021–2022)

After the reform of the state, the Olovian government faced a threat from Munatopia, a separatist movement and breakaway state that sought the collapse of the Olovian nation. This separatist movement was formed by one of Saleh's distant relatives, the conflict with Munatopia became a significant factor in Saleh's emergence and rise to nationalist power.

Additionally, Saleh A.H stated a summarized pro-Olov speech during the Munatopian conflict, following:

"We will crush the traitors until they retreat and fade from this second, because they are cowards who are ineffectual to strike us. Remember how important you and your career are, and to achieve your ambition as your provisions for your own future!"

— Saleh A.H

Small scale insurgency in Ondernaming (2021-2023)

In the insurgency in Ondernaming, Mikael Gabriel Rafael, Saleh's then-compatriot, participated alongside the Olovian government, taking on responsibility as the second governor of Ondernaming. Mikael's authority in the region contributed to the pro-Saleh government efforts.

During Saleh's speech in Ondernaming, he emphasized the importance of advocating for unity within the Olovian nation, particularly in reference to the pro-Islamist insurgents clashing in Ondernaming. This message was aligned with the sentiments expressed in his speech, which included the following statement:

"We shall defend the order and security of social life, maintain and advocate a sense of unity and oneness in society, increase the social solidarity of our commune, and eliminate discrimination in our society, once and for all!"

— Saleh A.H during his speech in Ondernaming, January 2023.

As the commander-in-chief of the Olovian National Military, he purposely continues on growing militarism because of a speculation of a great opportunity for the Olovian military, by increasing labeled propaganda and ordering the army to train on military strategies. Regarding militarism, Saleh uses nationalism and democracy to decoy his presidency, which has made criticism by several people.

2023 Ondernaming civil conflict and crisis with Mikael

On 19 April 2023, at around 00:18 AM (UTC+7), Mikael Gabriel Rafael, a compatriot and supporter of Saleh A.H., established a faction known as the Mikaelist faction, as an armed wing of Phojam 21, which comprised approximately fourteen participants, including five non-Phojam members in Andramin. This resulted in a mass rally on the main streets of Ondernaming, where the militias of the Mikaelist faction occupied and seized a significant area within the region. The occupation and rallying ceased around 01:34 AM (UTC+7) due to disturbances caused to the elderly and local civilians during the night.

Following the Mikaelist invasion of Ondernaming, Saleh A.H.'s relatives faced sexual harassment from Phojam member participant Firly, who made rape threats through direct messages on WhatsApp. Mikael defended Firly's actions, claiming that they were "very admirable" and had become a motivating factor for the faction. In response, Saleh A.H. halted special loan funding to Mikael Gabriel Rafael and the local government of Ondernaming, citing provocations towards civilians and protesters, incitement of violence, and the spreading of false accusations and hatred against him. This turmoil ultimately led to a decrease in the annual growth rate of GDP (per capita) in Ondernaming.

"We, the executives of the Olovian-central government, will not tolerate any further aggression by the Mikaelist faction in Ondernaming, and any attempts to resist our operation will be met with an overwhelming force.""

— Saleh A.H's official response to the Phojam 21

Saleh received limited support from the local government of Northeastern Ondernaming, including Olovian Lt. Muhammad Farhan and Olovian Sgt. Bilal Nafi. On June 4, 2023, they led a military operation codenamed "Operation Cakrama" against the Mikaelist faction of Phojam 21. The objective was to reclaim strategic territories held by Mikael Gabriel Rafael, the chief of the Mikaelist faction, by encircling his forces. "Operation Cakrama" involved over reportedly fifteen Olovian soldiers and five Olovian-controlled Ondernaming patrols. The operation commenced at approximately 16:20 (UTC+7).

Victory against the Mikaelist faction

On July 9, 2023, at around 17:06 (UTC+7), Olovian president Saleh A.H. launched an attack as part of the Cakrama operation against Mikaelist militias in northwestern Romansyah, Ondernaming. The attack inflicted considerable damage on the area. Following the attack, Saleh retreated to the Fadil-Arit region. After his initial withdrawal, he returned to Romansyah, expressing regret for the slight damage and admitting that the attack was a significant error on his part. In retaliation, the Mikaelist faction condemned Saleh A.H.

At around 17:23 (UTC+7), accompanied by Olovian corporal Faaris Akran Pratama, Saleh conducted a second attack, claiming it to be a more protective and strategic attack aimed at Mikaelist militias in northeastern Romansyah, Ondernaming.

During the second attack, the Mikaelist militias anticipated easily repelling the attack. However, they faced an unexpected defeat despite having a numerical advantage over the Olovian forces, causing some commanders to flee the battlefield. The assault concluded at 17:26 (UTC+7) after an incident in which Mikael Gabriel Rafael, the leader of the Mikaelist faction, suffered a severe injury from a Roman candle shot. This injury led to a considerable disruption within Phojam 21 and prompted a temporary ceasefire declared by Mikaelist sergeants Iban Rasya and Harits Fudhail Sopandi.

Mikael was quickly provided with limited medical supplies to treat his eye injury. Sergeant Iban Rasya credited the success of the Olovian forces during the assault to their superior weaponry and tactics. The attack elevated the morale of the Olovian forces, with some Mikaelist militias and local Indonesian citizens praising the operation.

On July 10, 2023, at approximately 20:18 (UTC+7), Mikael unconditionally announced the surrender of Phojam 21, effectively bringing the civil conflict to a close. Olovian president Saleh A.H. was invited to Mikael's residence in Andara 1 street, arriving at around 20:42 (UTC+7), to discuss medical compensation for Mikael's injured eye. Following the visit, President Saleh A.H. addressed the state around 23:53 PM (UTC+7), officially declaring the end of the Cakrama operation, marking the completion of the Olovian mission in Andramin.
