History
The Organization of Islamic Micronations (OIM) was established on 12 March 2024, with the initial Charter being adopted on the same day. The second and current Charter, adopted on 23 June 2024, provides a detailed framework for the appointment and roles of the Chief Justice and Additional Justices. The first as well as current Chief Justice Showib Ahmmed was appointed on the next day of adopting the charter.
Appointment and Roles
The Chief Justice is appointed by the Chair of the OIM. The Chief Justice is the head of the Supreme Court of the OIM and is responsible for the judicial oversight of the organization. The Chief Justice decides questions of fact and law, making orders to uphold OIM law, and advising on legal or procedural matters. He is also responsible for administering the elections for the Chair of the OIM.
Judicial Responsibilities and Structure
Supreme Court
The Supreme Court of the OIM is the judicial branch of the organization. It is responsible for investigating possible violations of law, deciding questions between member states, and making orders to uphold OIM law. It provides legal and procedural advice to the OIM, its bodies, and its members. The court operates freely from the General Assembly and the Executive. The Supreme Court also has the authority to issue orders necessary for upholding the laws of the OIM. These orders must be followed by all member states. The Court must hold hearings and provide reasons for its decisions.
Election Administration
The Chief Justice is responsible for administering executive elections unless they are a candidate or unavailable. In such cases, the most senior available justice who is not a candidate will take over the administration duties. The process has been made to ensure impartiality and fairness in the election process.

This includes assisting in the administration of elections and providing legal interpretations and rulings.
