History
Founding
In 2008, a group of friends from Bourne Primary School discovered a hidden alcove in a giant row of hedges at Stonefield Park, which bordered their school. For a few days, it just became a small hobby, until they decided to create their own laws. This was the founding of Clubhausia. The government was a parliament style, where a majority vote won deals, and everyone was equal. In 2010, Clubhausia's closest ally, the Kingdom of Lytera was founded. It existed in a personal union with Clubhausia for many years. It’s foundational differences were that it was a monarchy, it only ruled Alex’s home, and it was subject to none of Clubhausia’s laws. Alex stayed on the Clubhausia council, and continued to renovate the place. Trees were felled by the joint effort of the seven, benches and other useful features were fashioned out of the rubble in the area. This was the golden years of Clubhausia.
breakoff of Lytera
In December 2013, an argument between two of the major ‘party’ leaders broke out. These two had the most influence in Clubhausia. The two fighters were Zoe and John, who’s friendship had been on the decline for months, even outside of the country. Unfortunately, a heated argument over policies led to Zoe breaking away, forming the nation of Fizona. By this time, the country had amassed a large group of members who’d often observe and join the meetings, mainly from the school. Many of these observers broke away with Zoe.
Fizona conflict
The start of 2014 saw conflict break out not only with Fizona, but with Clubhausia itself. Losing ⅓ of it’s members, John went into damage control. He decreed that the country needed a strong leader for the time, proposing emergency powers and the position of chancellor for himself. When this vote failed, the death of Clubhausia followed. John declared Lorentia as an independent nation, backed with the support of many. Lytera broke off it's personal union with Clubhausia shortly after, not wanting to be dragged into a conflict, as Grand Duchess Amelia was friends with the leaders of all three nations, and didn't want to lose this friendship. Lorentia pushed Clubhausia out of its capital, the Clubhaus, and Clubhausia collapsed into the Clubhausia Exiled Goverment.
Legacy
The only vestiges of Clubhausia's existence after the Great Ruislip War were mostly destroyed. With most of it's former lands being claimed by warlords in the war and then abandoned, the culture of Clubhausia was purged from existence. However, while heavily damaged, the capital survived the war, but was left to rot. The ruins were examined by Lyteran Officials in 2019, and were designated a Cultural site and annexed as the territory of Clubhausia.
