History of the Royal reformed States of America

In March and April 2009, HE King Wilary I was becoming increasingly unhappy at the United States. The nation was in, in his opinion, a useless and costly war, and the economy was not doing well. Services were being cut and people were being laid off. He was annoyed at the rate at which the US Congress could pass laws to help the nation, and how unhelpful the laws were when passed. Sometime in April 2009, King Wilary came across Sealand in a Wikipedia article. He then went and researched out the idea of micronations and eventualy decided to start his own.

Independence

On May 1, 2009, he founded the Royal reformed States of America and gave himself the title of King Wilary the First of the Royal reformed States of America and declared his land independent of the United States. The start was not easy for he did not know exactly what he was doing. He decided to first commission the construction of a capital building to officially state his authority over his land. He then created a national flag and founded a few departments to oversee part of the government.

Annexation of Inyo

During a trip to Death Valley, King Wilary was amazed at the beauty of the desert. While atop a giant sand dune he was thinking how he wished he could live there and wanted to stay. Then he had an idea. Although it was too far away from the nation to visit often, and it was US public land, the RrSA decided to annex the area the sand dunes were on. The Royal reformed State of Inyo was created.

Reformation

In February 2010, the King realized that he should improve the country after a period of inactivity. In this time, the original land of the RrSA was made into two parts. The government land was organized into the Georgetown Royal reformed Government District. The rest of the land was put into the newly created Royal reformed State of Santa Clara. Also in this time, the RrSA applied for membership to the Organisation of Active Micronations after chosing it as the best place to start the RrSA's diplomatic relations. The RrSA then gladly became an official member of the OAM.
