The Executive Council of Pinang is the executive authority of the Pinangese Republic. The Council is composed by seven members, elected through Single transferable vote. The council has the same term of the Parliament and normally lasts three months. The council is presided by a Prime Minister of Pinang, who is elected by the councillors. The Prime Minister assigns ministries to the councillors, which have to be countersigned by the President. The council can be also terminated earlier by a parliamentary vote.

History

During the Commonwealth, the Pinangese cabinet was called Executive Council and was presided by a Rayiys. It was composed by four secretaries, the Rayiys and the Deputy Rayiys.
