The Kingdom of Bristolia, more commonly known as Bristolia, is a micronation based in New England. Bristolia was officially founded on the 25th of June, 2022.
The Kingdom of Bristolia is a Semi-Constitutional Federal Monarchy. It is self-declared sovereign state with a King as the head of state, and a Prime Minister as the head of government. Bristolia is led by a unicameral legislature and a Parliament. The current king is King António V of Bristolia.
Bristolia has obtained some of the largest land claims in the New England Sector, Spanning from the Regions of Rhode Island to Cape Cod. Due to its large land mass, some of its citizens and even foreign people have considered it a micronational empire.
Bristolia follows a Salazarist regime, and expresses its vast military power within its nation, and to the rest of the micronational community. Though its character may look rough to non-citizens, it is considered to be a comfortable and caring nation.
History
Pre-History
The location where Bristolia is currently was most likely home to various minor nations, confederacies, and tribes over the years, and being a prime location in the Assemblic Sector, it is hard to doubt these theories.
Modern Era
The nation we know today as Bristolia was founded on the 25th of June, 2022. Originally a Federation, the nation was once small and ruled by a president. Almost 1 month after forming, Bristolia made its transition from Federation to Federal Monarchy on the 24th of July, 2022. Now under the rule of a king, the nation grew not only in size, but in power to the micronational empire it is today.
Government
Bristolia is a Semi-Constitutional Federal Monarchy with a King as its Head of State and a Prime Minister as its Head of Government.
The Monarch retains the majority of the power within the state and government, however a Prime Minister is chosen bi-annually in order to ensure democracy within the nation and perform various governmental duties. The Prime Minister is the Executive General of the Bristolian Parliament, and retains leadership and the role as Speaker within said Parliament. The Prime Minister and the members of Parliament are democratically voted on by the people of Bristolia, however the Monarch has the power to veto votes if they find it necessary. Each province has one seat in Parliament, and each province has a Governor who ensures stability and security within their province. Governors are democratically voted on by the people, however retain no power in the main government.

Politics
Bristolia is ruled under its king's right-wing Salazarist regime, and Prime Ministers, as well as other officials and citizens, are allowed to choose from a wide variety of political parties. According to Bristolian law, all parties must be from the center to right of the political spectrum, and any left wing parties are considered too radical to have a say in government and are therefore banned. However, any form of extreme right wing politics such as Fascism or Nazism is also prohibited.
Bristolian Political Reeducation School
Any expression or protesting of radical left or right politics will be met with brute force by the Bristolian National Guard. Such individuals will be prosecuted, charged, and sent to a ideological reeducation schools where non-compliant citizens go to be reeducated on Bristolian politics by trained professionals and former Politicians. Unlike reeducation camps of nations like China, Bristolia uses non-aggression and refrains from practicing inhumane punishments. Individuals are instead studied on their mental wellbeing, and reeducated based on their mental health check-up results. Reeducation programs have been proven widely efficient on multiple occasions to Bristolian citizens, and have been the topic of many conversations with micronational leaders.

Bristolia has created many relations over the time of its creation, including many formal alliances. As well as alliances, Bristolia also recognises many other micronations, major and minor. As well as alliances, Bristolia also contains its fair share of unpleasant relations, and enemies. Bristolia is also a founding member of the New England Mutual Protection Agreement (NEMPA), now NEMCO, an agreement offering protection and military aid to micronations within the New England Sector.

Culture
Bristolia's culture is very heavily influenced on that of the culture of the Portuguese, and also includes a mixture of the culture of New England. This diverse mix of cultures creates a warm and welcoming feeling to those who visit Bristolia.
Language
The main languages of Bristolia are English and Portuguese, yet minority languages are still recognized. Native Bristolian is also a minority language native to Bristolia. It is a creole language based on Portuguese-based pidgin, which was used among the enslaved peoples of New Netherland in the 17th-century, of which partially occupied the area at the time. With recent Portuguese immigration to the area as late as the 19th century, native Bristolian has also adapted with modern portuguese. However different in spelling and pronunciation, the two languages are mutually intelligible, as with that of Galician. In the modern day however, Bristolian is considered an endangered language having very few people speaking as of recent times.
Food
Food in Bristolia is also heavily influenced on that of the Portuguese and New England culture. Traditional meals in Bristolia include Sardinhas Fritas (Fried Sardines) and Vinho Branco (White Wine).
Sports
Bristolia's national sport is Football, otherwise known as Soccer. The Bristolian Football Club, commonly known as Bristolia FC, is the nations national football team. In other sporting, Bristolia is a founding member of the Intermicronational Sports League, more commonly known as the ISL. The ISL is an organization involving virtual micronational sport and games such as chess, card games, and board games like Scrabble. Bristolia's ISL team is the Bristolian National Sport Team, also known as the BNST.
Technology
Bristolia has made many advances in its technology throughout its existence. The nation has various radio services that provide entertainment and news to its people. Bristolia has capability to use the Internet which brings additional services to its people. Bristolian military technology is among some of the greatest in the micronational community, having owned and operated missiles and pyrotechnical devices, as well as flying aircraft like drones. Bristolia is also the leading micronation in Forensic Science and Forensic Science technology, having worked with various other nations to solve crimes.
Economy
Bristolia follows a Distributist economic policy as of its economic reform of early February 2023. Previously, Bristolia followed a Capitalist-Socialist Corporate economy which was not favoured in the long term by both the state, and the King. Although politically right-wing, the former economy was centre-left. The Bristolian economic crisis was believed to have been caused by the faulty former economic policy, and nearly brought Bristolia to economic collapse. Through the partnerships with multinational corporations and the economic reform of February 2023, the Bristolian economy has been at its highest in the history of the nation. The decision to enact a Distributist policy was favoured greatly by the Bristolian state officials and King, as well as many allies. The idea, brought on by the King, was to furthermore align Bristolian politics and economics with the Church; which has previously expressed greatly of the concept of Distributism.
Taxes
Tax rate in Bristolia is approximately 6%. Taxes go to funding of state owned public amenities such as but not limited to: Police, Fire, Medical, and Education. Citizen taxes also fund state operated scholarships and lotteries which give citizens a chance toward cheaper higher education, or wealth boosts.

Bristolia has a large and powerful military for a micronation of its nature. Although most information is classified, it is told that they have major innovations in weapons such as rocketry and pyrotechnical weapons. During the period where Bristolia was a Federation, the military was named the Bristolian Defense Forces. As of its transition to Monarchy, the military is known as the Bristolian Armed Forces. The Armed Forces protect the nation, and the nation functions mostly under a military regime.

Bristolia has obtained many land claims, of which span most of the Southeastern Massachusetts region, and most of the Southeastern and Eastern Rhode Island region. Bristolia is also one of several nations to have a partition of land on Dilu island, in the Cape Cod region. This land is known as Bristolian Dilu, the Dilu colony, or the Dilu territory of Bristolia. South of Bristolian Dilu, Bristolia also has claims on two other territories named Lewis Territory and East Lewis Territory. They are more commonly known as Bristolian Lewis Territories or Bristolian South Dilu. Bristolia also has various minor claims around New England. These include Bristolian Greylock, Bristolian Nantucket and Bristolian Maine.
