The United Federation of Aumarea (UFA), commonly known as the United Federation (UF) or Aumarea, is a self declared sovereign state, typically known as a micronation by external observers. It was first formed on 3 March 2023, with the constitution being adopted on 12 March 2023.
The nation is a federal presidential constitutional republic as well as a representative democracy. The constitution sets provisions for states to have a republican style government lead by a governor as well as a strong national federal government, lead by the President of the United Federation. The national legislature is the UF Congress, consisting of a senate and house of delegates. The supreme court serves as the judicial branch of the federal government and the highest national court. The national congress establishes the legislative branch of government as a liberal representative democracy.
History
Aumarea was established on 3 March 2023. It has been developing since its foundation - adopting its constitution and national flag on 12 March 2023. The national anthem, "The Stripe-Spangled Banner," was adopted on 2 April 2023. States have been admitted to the union beginning on 31 March 2023 and continue to be developed.
Government and Politics
Aumarea is a federal presidential constitutional republic. The federal government has three branches - the Presidency (executive), Congress (legislative) and Supreme Court (judiciary).
Early Government
Prior to the adoption of the constitution, Congress and the Presidency existed by were suspended until the enactment of the constitution. The nation was governed by the Continental Congress who were writing the constitution. Luke Knight served as President of the Continental Congress until it was dissolved upon the ratification of the constitution where he took his oath of office and became President of the United Federation.
Presidency
The President of the United Federation is the head of state and head of government of the United Federation. The president is head of the federal government and chairs the cabinet. They appoint the vice president, as well as other ministers, on senate advice and consent as well as also appointing Supreme Court Justices when vacancies occur. The president can issue executive orders as a legal directive of the federal government and the president can also veto or approve legislation passed by congress.
The first and current president is Luke Knight, who is a member of the Federalist Party and national founding father.
Congress
Congress serves as the supreme federal legislature of Aumarea. It is bicameral, consisting of a senate and house of delegates. Members of the house of delegates represent the people of Aumarea whereas senators represente the states.
The constitution vests all defined legislative abilities within itself in congress. All federal legislative bills originate in a house of congress.
The Vice President also sits as President of the Senate and can cast tie-breaking votes. The Speaker of the House of Delegates serves as presiding officer of the House of Delegates and can work with the vice president in helping lead congress.
Political Parties
Citizens can register political parties freely with the Electoral College and Congress can then approve or deny their formation.
The only registered political party is the Federalist Party, which was established on 6 March 2023.

Administrative Divisions
As a federal republic, the United Federation is made up of a union of states. Each state is permitted, and usually expected, to establish and maintain their own state legislature. States are also asked to form their own supreme courts and establish their own state constitutions subservient to the federal supreme court and federal constitution. As well as this, each state is headed by a Governor and their Lieutenant Governor. States are admitted to the union with the consent of Congress and the executive jointly.

Geography
Currently the main land claims of Aumarea lie within the United Kingdom. The nation claims about 5 square feet of land in the Lake District, as well as the land under its citizens feet.
Culture
The official language of Aumarea is English but the Federal Government recognises other languages that may be used at a more regional level. Aumarea recognises a number of days as public holidays such as Founder's Day (3 March) and Constitution Day (12 March). Aumarea has no established media but freedom of press is supported.
Aumarea has no national sport but states are allowed to assign their own state-sports.
'The Stripe-Spangled Banner' serves as the UF national anthem and is inspired by 'The Star Spangled Banner'.
National Symbols
The primary national symbol of Aumarea is the national flag. It consists of 11 red and white stripes with a yellow cross shape supported by a blue background. The red stripes represent the union and the states. The white stripes represents the federal government. The blue represents national unity and the yellow cross represents the citizens of the nation.
Another symbol of the republic, is the coat of arms which was created on 13 March 2023 and serves also as the current seal of the republic.
Economy
The national currency is the UF dollar. The national treasury and Federal Bank oversee the printing of the currency as well as implementing government economic policy as well as setting interest rates.
