Aidan McGrath formed the Second McGrath ministry on 1 November 2023, after being invited by King John to form a government. The ministry, a Conservative majority government is the twelfth ministry after the appointment of Lord John Timpson as the 1st Prime Minister. He later attempted to resign on 22 November against party and national regulations, and thus was placed in suspension from Parliament. The King later dismissed him, and the Deputy Prime Minister formed a caretaker government.
