Valkerion, officially the Republic of Valkerion (ROV), is a micronation located in Long Island. The nation was founded in 2023 and its constitution was signed and completed on New Year's Eve (31 December 2023). It is surrounded on all sides by the United States of America.
History
The Republic of Valkerion was created by Harlan Guh with the help of his friend, Spencer Zhang in September of 2023. After a few months, a few new citizens joined. The constitution was first started right after the nation's formation; however, it was only officially finished and signed on December 31st, 2023. The population since then has gradually risen.
Harlan Guh and Spencer Zhang 2024-2025 Administration
As the result of the Valkerian 2024 Presidential Election, Harlan Guh and Spencer Zhang have taken the seats as President and Vice President. During Harlan's presidency, he has passed the Ministries act, which founded many important ministries for the Head of State Branch. Harlan Guh has also passed other more minor laws. During this time, the Province of Sealis and Zhangshen Province was created, followed later by the Province of Aetus and the Territory of Terrenis on 26 March 2024. Kymopoletian Province, Province of Solis, and the New Babylon Autonomous Laissez-faire Economic Zone were established on 3/29/2024.
On 4/4/2024, an unhappy citizen posted a petition for a reelection of the Valkerion Head of State Branch. This would become known as the 2024 Hunter Revote Referendum. The proposition was rejected by the citizens via a narrow percentage, and the Harlan Guh 2024-2025 Administration was able to keep its place.
On April 14th, the 1st Valkerian Citizen Council was formed. The day after, the administration would pass a treaty recognizing the Republic of Grovia and the Republic of Fish. Then on April 18th, the Nassau County Co-Prosperity Sphere was formed between the three nations, aiming to provide peace to Nassau County. In July, development on Valkish, a new language for Valkerion began.
Fearing that unserious parties such as the Restoration Party and the Mongolian Cantaloupe Market, who both advocated for the abolition of democracy, might rise to power, President Guh enacted the Avocado Act, which allowed the government to monitor or destroy any potential hazards to democracy. Soon afterwards, an official capital of Valkerion would be announced, with it being a small public park within claimed territory.
Following the Steve Incident and collapse of the NCCPS, the American Micronational Co-Prosperity Sphere was founded, and Valkerion became one of the founding members. It would become a member for one day, before boycotting and leaving due to the alliance becoming NZRLI- and Cornland- centric.
Excelsior Civil War
The Republic of Valkerion supported the Excelsior Breakaway State in its fight against the Excelsior Government. This is because the Breakaway State had recently joined the Nassau County Co-Prosperity Sphere.

Stance on The Unseen Hand and Cornland
Valkerion condemns the organization known as The Unseen Hand for their anti-semetic statements. Valkerion also condemns Cornland for their actions within and around the New York Federation.
Stance on the NZRLI
Valkerion condemns the National Zionist Republic of Long Island for its fascist beliefs. At first, Valkerion completely devoted itself to opposing the NZRLI, going as so far to plan to declare war on the nation. However after the radicalization of Valkerion's fellow anti-NZRLI allies, and an unpopularity in the anti-NZRLI actions, Valkerion stopped being openly aggressive to the NZRLI. Briefly afterwards however, after a fall out between the NCCPS and the NZRLI, a declaration of war against the NZRLI was announced. After the Steve Incident and downfall of the NCCPS however, the nation seeks to reform the government of the NZRLI through non-violent means.
Environmental Policy
Although primarily focused on forming a stable nation first, Valkerion and the Harlan administration seek to protect the natural world, this has come with the formation of the Office of Environmental Protection on August 8th 2024, and the Valkerian Five Pests Program, which would be renamed the Valkerian Lanternfly Purge

The Valkerian Lanternfly Purge is the state-sponsered eradication attempt of the Spotted Lanternfly, classified as invasive to North America.
Politics and government
Despite having "Republic" in its name, and "Direct Democracy" in the constitution, the Republic of Valkerion seems to be a different form of democracy altogether.
Head of State
The Head of State consists of the role of President, Vice President, and all of the ministries. They are voted for by citizens. If one person runs and wins, they can fill up every role in the Head of State. The Head of State can make laws without voting, however (although would make more sense here)they can be impeached by the citizens.
The Head of State also consists of the Citizen Council, a group of 3-5 elected Citizens, who advise the president on important issues, during sessions.(none of which have ever happened yet)

Valkerian Treasury
The Valkerian Treasury is responsible for the economy and money of the ROV.
- Bank of Valkerion: Is responsible for money distribution. However, it is still in its infancy.
Ministry of Defense (MoD)
The Ministry of Defense is in charge of protecting the nation and keeping order.
- Valkerian Militia Corps: Basically the military of the nation. However, with compliance with the constitution, it is only active in wartime.
- Valkerian Police Force: A possible new organization that has not been founded yet.
- Valkerian Bureau of Intelligence (V-BOI): In charge of all intelligence gathering and operations.
- Office of Environmental Protection: In charge of protecting native Long Island wildlife and ecosystems
Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in charge of managing diplomacy.
Ministry of Public Information
The Ministry of Public Information is in charge of informing the public about news.

The Judicial branch consists of a Jury, who settles conflicts.

The Citizenship consists of all of the remaining citizens of the country. They must vote to make any decision.

Climate and geography
The climate doesn't usually fluctuate that much, with humid summers, and winters with little snowfall. The Republic of Valkerion is located within the suburbs of Long Island, with a consistent geography. However, on the Easternmost territory of the nation, it is a bit more foresty.
Culture
All of Valkerion's citizens are of Asian descent, with most of them being ethnic Han Chinese. Therefore, Asian food and activities are most common.
