Valkerian 2024 Presidential Election

The Valkerian 2024 Presidential Election was the first election ever to be held in the Republic of Valkerion. It would result in Harlan and Spencer Zhang being elected as President, and Vice President.
Pre-Election
The election was first scheduled to be held on March 1st, 2024, however it was eventually changed to February 10th, 2024, before finally being changed to February 1st, 2024. Before the election date, both the Centrist Unity Party, and the Valkerian Social Party debated against each other. However, after Spencer Zhang lost a debate, he requested that the Valkerian Social Party and the Centrist Unity Party unite. Harlan agreed, thus forming the Centrist Unity party-Social Party Coalition.
Election
During the election, the votes were notably a three-way tie, between the Centrist Unity Party-Social Party Coalition, Jacob W, and the Restoration Party. This would result with the election being forced to extend past its proposed deadline. Soon enough, the tie would break, and the Centrist Unity Party-Social Party Coalition would win, by the margin of one vote. There was also some issues during election period, which would result in citizens being able to spam votes. This would result in over 20 different votes terminated.
Post-Election Controversy
After the election, it was discovered that one voter who participated wasn't a citizen. This caused issues due to the fact that if that vote was deemed invalid, the election would return to a three-way tie. So, after some discussion, Jacob Wang agreed to give up his campaign for presidency, in exchange for him becoming the Jury of the ROV. Notably, the Restoration Party didn't participate in these discussions due to the fact that none of the party's members had Discord, and the fact that they were not serious micronationalists.
Results
Harlan Guh would become president of the Republic of Valkerion, with Spencer Zhang being vice-president. The Restoration Party would fall into inactivity after failing their objective of winning the presidency. This would leave Valkerion with one dominate majority political coalition, the Centrist Unity party-Social Party Coalition.
