The Most Blessed Order of the Loyalty Defender of the State Carl Gustaf City (Thai: เครื่องราชอิสริยาภรณ์อันศักดิ์สิทธิ์ของผู้ภักดีและพิทักษ์แห่งรัฐคาร์ล กุสตาฟ) is the highest dynastic order of the royal house of Helmond-Nassau and the highest chivalric order of the Carl Gustaf Province of the Commonwealth of Queensland. The order was constituted on 14 July 2021 by His Royal Highness Prince Albert, Duke of Sembilan, the Grand Ruler of the province in order to recognize the extraordinary contributions of several individuals for the progress and development of the province.
With the creation of the order, the Royal Family Order of Carl Gustaf City became the second highest dynastic and chivalric order.
History
The Order of the Loyalty Defender of the State Carl Gustaf City was constituted on 14 July 2021 by the Grand Ruler of Carl Gustaf Province, Prince Albert, Duke of Sembilan as the highest dynastic and chivalric of the province. The order ranks above all other orders of the province as the highest order and ranks immediately above the Royal Family Order of Carl Gustaf City.
Grades and insignia
Grades
At the apex of the order is the Grand Ruler, currently Prince Albert, Duke of Sembilan who is the ex-officio Sovereign of the order as fons honorum of all the provincial orders. The order is conferred in two distinguished grades of:
- Knight Grand Collar (for males) and Dame Grand Collar (for females)
- Knight Grand Cross (for males) and Dame Grand Cross (for females)
All the recipients are entitled to bear post-nominal letters. All recipients of the highest grade of Grand Collar bear the post-nominal letters of "G.C.L.D.C.G" and Grand Cross "G.L.D.C.G".
Insignia
The ribbon of the order is blue with a white-edged red central stripe.
