Monomiu is the capitol of Klaise and is its largest town. It is the financial, military, transportation and government center for the country. Monomiu is consolidated with Monomiu County, which is 0.5 acres large with no wild forests. The entire county is covered in a grass lawn with occasional trees. Much of the county's land is dedicated to transportation and vehicle parking, as it is the main port of entry for the country.

Etymology

The name comes from an instance of a cat meowing only once. Monomiu is known for being home to many cats. The traditional spelling had always been Monomew, but since 2018 the Klaisan language's orthography has removed the letter W. The spelling was officially changed to Monomiu in 2022.

History

The area was settled in late 1994, and officially populated in 1995. Monomiu did not get founded as a town until 2010, when the then Duchy of Dodoa declared it its capitol. Since then, the town has always been the de-facto capitol of Klaise.

Throughout history, Monomiu has been the most densely populated place in the country, having a small but very urban downtown area.

Transportation

The town is the main port of entry for Klaise State, so naturally many roads go from the town to the rest of the state.

Road 45 goes northeast to Geoxe County, to the towns of Aushafen, Saukrame and Isciler. This road connects the north of the state to Monomiu.

Road 10 goes east to Ivydon, a growing suburb of Monomiu.
