The Ministry of the Interior (Thai: กระทรวงมหาดไทย) is a ministry in the government of Huai Siao which is responsible for maintaining public order, facilitating social justice and promoting politics, governance, administration and development of communities in the nation. The ministry is headed by a Minister who is known as the "Minister of the Interior". The current minister is Prime Minister Prince Eun Jo who has been in office since 15 January 2021.

History

The Ministry of the Interior was established following the establishment of the nation on 5 October 2017. The first Minister of the Interior was Phraya Huo.

Functions

The Ministry of the Interior is responsible for the maintenance of public order, facilitating social justice and promoting politics, governance, administration and development of communities throughout the nation.

There are three child agencies and departments under the Ministry of the Interior.

  • Department of Lands (DoL)
  • Department of Provincial Administration (DoPA)
  • Central Registration Department (CRD)
