The constitution of the Kingdom is called the Main Law and it sets out the Monarch's powers as and the government system. The Main Law can only be amended if it is approved by both a public referendum and the Parliament.

Legislative power is invested in the Parliament, which consists of the King-in-Parliament, the upper house, known as the Senate, and the lower house, the Folketing. By default, legislation - taking the form Acts of Parliament - only holds effect over the four countries, but can also be enacted over the Kingdom's colonies if this is explicitly stated.

The Monarch of Vatolean is known as the King if male, and Queen if female. The position is hereditary.

The Parliament is bicameral. The upper house is the Senate. The lower house is the Folketing, consisting of a six MPs who are elected under party list proportional representation. Parliament can legislate through Acts of Parliament, which must be passed by both houses and then given consent by the Monarch.

Vatolean has a parliamentary system, the Government, the executive branch, is made up of and is accountable to Parliament. The head of government is the Prime Minister, who must have the confidence of the Folketing, and is usually the leader of the largest party or coalition within the House.

Vatolean has a court made up of 2 members.
