The Imperial Order of the House of Terlisner-Harms is an order of chivalry founded by August IV on 1 January 2021 and it is the highest order of the Empire of New Prussia.
Appointments are made at the sole discretion of the Emperor and does not need the approval of the government. This Order can be awarded anytime except for holidays. The Emperor may appoint only 7 of his/her citizens in total. The Emperor may appoint as many supernumerary Members -Members of the Imperial Family and Foreign Heads of State- as he wishes.
History
The Order was created on 1 January 2021. The reason why there can only be seven members, is because it is to honor the seven immediate families of which that the first Emperor, August IV, was born from. On 1 July 2022, the Order was split into the Order of the Cross and the Imperial Order of the House of Terlisner-Harms.
Composition
The Order consists of the Sovereign, Chancellor of the Order, Secretary, Gentleman/Lady Usher of the Black Rod, 7 total members including supernumerary members.
Officers
Officers of the order are not of the seven members because they are temporal.
Chancellor of the Order: Has the power to accept or decline the letter of recommendation and has the power to degrade members with approval of the Sovereign.
Gentleman/Lady Usher of the Black Rod: The representative of the order, maintains discipline within the order and grants access to the investiture ceremony.
Secretary: keeps records of previous and current knights/dames of the order and does background checks on recipients.
