Government of the Dale-Westlandian Federal Republic

The Government of the Delsh-Westlandian Federal Republic is divided into the President of the Federation, the currently 3 First Ministers of the constituent states who make up the national legislature, the Federal Parliament, and the Cabinet which represent the 6 government departments, 4 ministries, 1 supreme court and 1 central bank. All of these positions are seated by at least 1 of the 3 First Ministers and the President.

Structure

The President is the executive head of state for the Delsh-Westlandian Federal Republic. He shares the same powers as the 3 First Ministers in the Federal Parliament and is elected separately in the the only national vote where the votes in each constituent state are put together to give a national total. Despite having the same voting powers of the President, the 3 First Ministers of Caladonia, New Dale and Westland are the head of governments and the representatives of each constituent state. When a new constituent state is created from an existing member or a nation joins the federation through national referendum and legislative approval. This was first done with the Caladonia (Accession) Act 2013 which allowed the Republic of Caladonia to join the Delsh-Westlandian Federal Republic after a national referendum.

President

He is one of 4 members of the Federal Parliament and has the same voting powers as the 3 First Ministers.

Legislature

The national legislature of the Delsh-Westlandian Federal Republic is the Federal Parliament and officially took power following the July elections. The Parliament was extended by 1 seat following the accession of the Republic of Caladonia into the Federal Republic on August 6, 2013. There are the regional legislatures of the republics, currently only Caladonia has an active legislature, the Caladonian Parliament. The New Dale National Dale Assembly is currently inactive due to a lack politicians to provide opposition in an election, the same is for Westland where their unnamed legislature also lacks enough opposition to form a regional government.
