The Federal Air and Space Agency (FASA) is the official space agency of the Delsh-Westlandian Federal Republic. It is currently running tests virtually, using the program Kerbal Space Program allowing the construction of self designed and tested aircraft and spacecraft to reach a large number of possible celestial bodies including a variety of moons and planets which emulate the solar system. There are also future plans to test primarily aircraft and aeronautical designs instead of rockets through real world tests, this would be funded mostly by the government of the Delsh-Westlandian Federal Republic with a limitation on private or regional investment. The FASA is made up of the regional Caladonian Institute for Aeronautics and Space Development (CIASD) and Dale Space Agency (DSA), the agencies agree to form the Federal Air and Space Agency in order to promote competition between the two agencies through Kerbal Space Program and trying to achieve the most impressive missions and tasks, Westland was not included in the creation of the FASA and no current plans are put in place by Westland to be included in the space agency.

History

Before the creation of the Delsh-Westlandian Federal Republic and the accession of Caladonia into the federation two separate space programs existed, the Caladonian National Space Agency and the Dale Virtual Space Agency, replaced by the Dale Sub-Federal Space Agency after joining the Delsh-Westlandian Federal Republic. The two were fairly inactive after becoming part of the Delsh-Westlandian Federal Republic. On November 22, 2013, the space agencies agreed to merge into a union style organisation allowing the two agencies to work separately while being part of the same space agency, this became the Federal Air and Space Agency (FASA).
