Friedrich I[Note 1] (Friedrich Heinrich von Colorado, born March 19, 2006) is an American micronationalist who currently serves as the Grand Duke of the Grand Duchy of Colorado, the 3rd Minister of State for New Victoria, and as Grand Senator for Menewek and Nordhaus in Elysium. Friedrich had previously served as the 1st Minister of State for New Victoria, and as the Chief Secretary of the Commonwealth of Hong Kong until its dissolution in July 2021. Friedrich reentered into micronational politics in 2020 but had an interest in it in 2019 and 2016.
Career
2016
Friedrich served as the Head of State of a local micronation in Oklahoma. It was short-lived however but saw one election take place wherein Friedrich won by 1 vote.
2019
Friedrich served as the Head of State of a local micronation in Colorado. Unlike its predecessor in Oklahoma, this one saw a longer lifespan of over 2 months. However, due to the instability of the governing instruments, it was dissolved in November 2019.
2020
Friedrich was invited by Harvey Galloway to take part in the government of New Victoria, a subject of the Republic of Yu-Xia. Friedrich became the 1st Minister of State and would hold the office until April 2021.
2021
New Victoria
Friedrich was removed as New Victoria's Minister of State on April 1, 2021, and was replaced by George Mountbatten. Mountbatten would hold the office until July 10, 2021, when Friedrich was reappointed to the office, becoming the 1st and 3rd Minister of State.
Hong Kong Commonwealth
Friedrich served as one of two drafters for the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Hong Kong. Friedrich also served as the 1st and sole Chief Secretary, and as the Chair of the National Democratic Union, a big-tent Populist party.
Dominion of West Canada & British North America
Friedrich joined the Dominion of West Canada in June 2021. Following the June General Election, Friedrich became an MP for the Conservative Party. West Canda became known as British North America in late July 2021. Friedrich continued to serve as MP until October 14, 2021, when it was dissolved.
Nortenland
Friedrich joined Nortenland sometime after the dissolution of British North America. Friedrich founded and led the Nortenland Reform Alliance, which continued to be active until January 2, 2022.
Elysium
Friedrich became Grand Senator for Menewek and Nordhaus in Elysium on October 17, 2021. Friedrich continues to serve as Grand Senator as of March 6, 2022.
2022
Blakeana & Saint George
Friedrich is one of the 5 founding fathers of Blakeana, also known as the Serene Military Order of Blakeana. Friedrich served as the sole Chief Minister. Eventually, Blakeana reformed into the Sovereign Military Order of Saint George. Friedrich currently serves as the 1st Grand Chancellor of Saint George, and as the leader of the People's Progress Group, the ruling party of SMOSG.
Colorado
Friedrich established the Grand Duchy of Colorado and declared independence on March 25, 2022. Friedrich further founded the House of Colorado, the reigning house of Colorado. On April 4, 2022, Friedrich founded the Columbine Order, a chivalrous order of Colorado. Friedrich also claimed the titles of Count of Grand Junction, and Count of Springs, on April 4, 2022. Friedrich ratified the Constitution of Colorado on April 24, 2022.
Politics
When Friedrich first entered into politics in late 2016 and early 2017, they were a left-wing populist, however, upon moving to Colorado, their political belief shifted to the right. In late 2018, and early 2019, Friedrich was a neoreactionary and a national capitalist. In 2020, Friedrich began to shift more libertarian, and eventually dropped the neoreactionary and national capitalist titles. Currently, Friedrich identifies as a Conservative Libertarian.
Religion
Friedrich grew up as a Wesleyan in Oklahoma. Though not explicitly adopting any religion, Friedrich still considers himself a Wesleyan. Friedrich also believes in Theistic Evolution. Friedrich is a proponent for state pluralism, encouraging stronger religious interrelations and intermingling to end religious extremism. Friedrich strongly opposes state religion, secularism, or atheism, believing that the true path to salvation is not forcing religion, or irreligion on other people, but instead, the intermingling and positive relations between the religions.
