Friedrich Heinrich von Colorado (born 19 March 2006) is a Coloradan politician who has been the general secretary of the Colorado Party (PC) and chairman of the National Military Commission (NMC), and thus as the paramount leader of Colorado, since 2023. Colorado has also been the president of the Republic of Colorado (ROC) since 2024.

Early life

Colorado was born on 19 March 2006 in Oklahoma City to a moderate Methodist Christian family. Growing up in Oklahoma, Colorado's family attended church every week. During his time in Oklahoma, Colorado was part of Awana, an international evangelical Christian nonprofit organisation in child and youth discipleship. In April 2018, during the ongoing teachers' strike, Colorado moved from Oklahoma to the State of Colorado. After moving to Colorado, his family stopped attending church.

Early career

2016

Colorado became interested in politics in mid-July as a result of the 2016 United States presidential election. In mid-August of the same year, Colorado first discovered micronations and would establish one the following day. Although the micronation was short-lived, really only lasting for about two weeks, it would see a presidential election take place. Colorado would win this election by one vote.

2019-2020

In October 2019, Colorado would yet again become interested in micronations, attempting to reestablish his former micronation created in 2016. Unlike its 2016 incarnation, however, the 2019 incarnation would last for a couple of months. In addition to having a longer lifespan, the 2019 incarnation saw the adoption of a constitution. However, the weak provisions and poor writing of the constitution would make it unstable, resulting in its dissolution in November 2019.

In late 2020, Colorado was invited by Harvey Galloway to participate in the government of the recently-established New Victoria, an autonomous city of the Republic of Yu-Xia. Colorado served as New Victoria's 1st Minister of State from 14 December 2020 until 1 April 2021, and as its 2nd Minister of State from 10 July 2021 until New Victoria's eventual dissolution in 2022.

2021

On 22 May 2021, Colorado, alongside Harvey Galloway, founded the Commonwealth of Hong Kong (formerly known as Hong Kong Island). Colorado served as the sole Chief Secretary of Hong Kong, leader of the big-tent populist political party, the National Democratic Union, and as one of the co-drafters of the Commonwealth of Hong Kong's constitution.

Colorado joined the Dominion of West Canada in June 2021. Following the June general election, Colorado became an MP for the Conservative Party. In late July 2021, West Canada became known as British North America. Colorado continued to serve as an MP until 14 October 2021, when British North America was dissolved and succeeded by Nortenland.

A week after the dissolution of British North America, Colorado moved to Nortenland and obtained citizenship. During Colorado's time in Nortenland, he led the Nortenland Reform Alliance, with the goal of establishing Nortenland as an open parliamentary democracy. Friedrich remained a citizen in Nortenland until 2 January 2022, when Nortenland became isolationist.

On 14 October 2021, Colorado became a citizen of Elysium. On 17 October 2021, Colorado became the Grand Senator for Menewek and Nordhaus, representing the National Democratic Party. Colorado remained a Grand Senator until 21 May 2022.

2022-2023

Colorado was one of the 5 founding fathers of Blakeana, also known as the Serene Military Order of Blakeana. Colorado served as the sole Chief Minister. Later, Blakeana reformed into the Sovereign Military Order of Saint George. Colorado served as the sole Grand Chancellor of Saint George, and as the leader of the People's Progress Group, the ruling party of SMOSG.

On 25 March 2022, Colorado founded, and declared the independence of, the Grand Duchy of Colorado. That same day, Colorado founded the House of Colorado to serve as the reigning house of the newly-independent state. On 4 April 2022, Colorado founded the Columbine Order, a chivalrous knighthood order. On 24 April 2022, Colorado would ratify the Constitution of Colorado after presenting it to the Legislative Assembly of Colorado. In addition to his title as Grand Duke, Colorado was the Count of Grand Junction and Count of Springs.

Acting president

Following the ratification of the 2023 Coloradan institutional referendum, Colorado, as the former Grand Duke of Colorado and therefore the highest-ranking member of government, became the provisional head of state. Prior to becoming provisional head of state, Colorado created a charter on temporary provisions to take effect when the Grand Duchy of Colorado became the Republic of Colorado. After becoming provisional head of state on 29 October 2023, Colorado convened a constitutional assembly to draft a new republican constitution for Colorado. That same day, Colorado would found the Colorado Party and create the National Military Commission. Since then, Colorado has established the party as the founding and sole ruling party, as well as the centre of authority in the Republic of Colorado.

On 16 February 2024, Colorado presented the first draft for the republican constitution of the Republic of Colorado. Colorado simulatenously announced the parliamentary and presidential elections were to be held no later than 15 June 2024, while also declaring his own candidacy. On 9 March 2024, Colorado has unanimously elected by the General Assembly to serve as the first President.

Political positions

Friedrich von Colorado's sapply results

Colorado first became interested in mid-2016, during the ongoing 2016 United States presidential election. Colorado's earliest political opinions were significantly influenced by his family, who were mostly progressive Democrats. From 2016 until early 2018, when he moved to Colorado, he associated himself with left-wing populism. Upon moving to Colorado, however, he started to associate himself with right-wing politics. From the time shortly after he moved to Colorado to late 2019, Colorado associated himself with ultraconservative politics and absolute monarchism. Since then, Colorado has begun to moderate his political beliefs, and in early 2020, he began to associate himself with libertarian conservatism.

Economic views

Colorado has been described by himself and others as an economic liberalism and fiscal conservatism, subscribing to the Austrian School of economics and taking a critical stance against Keynesian economics. Colorado promotes capitalism or free enterprise, and strongly opposes state-imposed communism and socialism.

Social views

Colorado has strictly described himself as a libertarian conservative, opposed to the government exercising authority and oversight over the private lives of individuals and excessive authority and oversight over society as a whole. Colorado is an advocate for federalism and supports state law taking precedence over all national laws and regulations except for the national constitution.

Macronationalism

American politics

In American politics, Colorado is a registered member and local officer for the Colorado Republican Party. Colorado supported Donald Trump during the latter half of his presidency when he started following right-wing politics. Though Colorado believes there was some foul play in the counting of ballots during the 2020 United States presidential election, he does not believe that the election was outright stolen. However, because of the attempts to overturn the elections results were propagated by Donald Trump, Colorado's support for him began to falter. Ultimately, Colorado's support for Donald Trump ceased entirely following the January 6 United States Capitol attack.

Following Trump's departure from office on 20 January 2021, Colorado disavowed Trumpism. In 2024, during the ongoing Republican Party presidential primaries, Colorado expressed support for Vivek Ramaswamy despite his rejection of Trumpism. Despite this, Colorado had intended to ultimately vote for Ron DeSantis, had he been able to. Since their withdrawals from the primaries, Colorado shifted his support to Donald Trump. Colorado still does, however, disavow Trumpism.

Colorado supports the governorship of Jared Polis, the libertarian Democratic governor of the State of Colorado. Colorado supports the congressional campaigns of Brandon Herrera, a firearm manufacturer and YouTuber running in Texas's 23rd congressional district, and Marty O'Donnell, composer for Halo when it was owned by Bungie running in Nevada's 3rd congressional district.

Global politics

Though less interested in global politics than he is in American politics, Colorado has been vocal about his support of various parties or politicians, most notably Pierre Poilievre, leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, and His Majesty's Loyal Opposition. Colorado is supportive of the Liberal Democratic Party in Japan, though he is opposed to their ties with the Unification Church. Colorado is also supportive of the Conservative and Unionist Party but is opposed to the party's current leadership under Rishi Sunak.

Micronationalism

Colorado considers himself a soft-moderate secessionist on the classical micropatriology spectrum.

Personal life

Colorado is bisexual and has been out since late 2019.

Colorado is passionate towards studying geopolitics and political science, theology and religious studies, and jurisprudence. Colorado is an amateur collector and has a collection of flags and books.

In addition to fluently speaking English, Colorado can also write and transliterate Russian. Colorado is currently studying the Russian language, and aims to study German and Japanese in the future. Colorado is currently aiming towards studying political science and constitutional law, seeking a future career in macronational politics.

Religion

Early in life, Colorado attended a Methodist church in Oklahoma. When he moved to Colorado, he stopped attending church entirely and no longer identified himself as a Christian. From late 2019 to late 2022, he again identified as a Methodist Christian. In December 2022, Colorado once again ceased to identify himself as a Christian, and instead began to identify himself as a deist. Colorado does not follow the traditional definition of deism, which posits an inactive God. Instead, Colorado maintains that God remains active and engaged with the world, albeit through means not described in religious texts. Colorado also subscribes to the concept of theistic evolution, which suggests that God played a direct role in the creation and guided the evolution of primitive life forms.

Colorado is interested in theology and the study of religion. Colorado began studying Islam in late December 2022. Since then, Colorado's theological views have been influenced by the faith and its doctrines, though he does not identify himself as a Muslim. Colorado aims to study Christianity, Judaism, Shintoism and Sikhism in the future.
