Connemara, officially the Province of Connemara, was a province of Roscamistan and is located in the west of the island of Ireland, primarily County Galway. Connemara was the largest province, stretching from Moycullen to Clifden. It bordered Irish Cape to the north, Galway city province to the south and Mervustan to the east. Connemara functioned under a devolved presidential system of government.
Economy
The economy was made up of agriculture and traditional craft, and recently more technological things. The biggest source of income was tourism, as the region is a part of the Gaeltachts, which are the last regions that still speak Irish day to day in the world.
Government and politics
Government
The government of the province was comprised of the Governor of Connemara and his cabinet. The Legislative Assembly serveed as the provincial legislature, with the Superior Court as the judiciary.
Executive
The Governor served as the chief executive of the Government. He was elected every three months. After election he appointed the Lieutenant Governor and the Executive Council.
Politics
The Roscami Ergatist Front was considered the leading party within Connemara, and had been such since Governor Conor Newman took office. The United Front also has support in the province.
Culture
Connemara is considered a vibrant region, as such it was placed as the Roscamistan capital of Culture by Adam Flannery on 6 November 2021. The root of culture in Connemara is the Irish language, and ancient culture.
