The Legislative Assembly of Connemara was the unicameral legislature of the Province of Connemara, and was the legislative body of the Government of Connemara. The assembly was the successor to the House of Delegates. The legislative assembly was responsible for the legislative matters devolved to it by the Government of Roscamistan.
History
The Legislative Assembly and its single house, the Chamber of Deputies were established on the 12th of April 2022. Originally in the parliamentary system of government, the Legislative Assembly served as the source of power for the Prime Minister of Connemara, who was appointed by the Provincial Governor.
In August 2022, a presidential system of government was established and the Governor became head of state and government. With that the Legislative Assembly lost its power over the executive as it had during the parliamentary era.
