The Citizen's List, formerly Independent Alliance, is a small local party in Side Bed District Council.
History
The Citizen's List was created on 17 July 2018 as the Independent Alliance. It was created because they believe that national parties should not be involved in local politics.
The Independent Alliance ran with 3 candidates in Side Bed in 2018. The party received 13 votes or 72.2% of the vote, giving them 2 seats in the local council.
The Independent Alliance ran with 3 candidates in Side Bed in 2019. The party received 11 votes or 55.0% of the vote, giving them 1 seat in the local council.
The Independent Alliance did not contest the 2020 local elections due to high debt and low membership.
On 16 January 2021, the Independent Alliance changed it's name to the Citizen's List. The next day Green Councillor Spino Spino crossed the floor and joined the party. The day after that Paky Dino resigned as leader and Spino Spino became leader.
The party will run 3 candidates in the 2021 House Hold local elections in Side Bed Council.
