The Arstotzkan Labour Party (ALP) was the competing party against the Arstotzkan People's Party, later the United Government Alliance (UGA) before being handed over to the UGA prior to it becoming the Second Democratic Peoples Party of the Arstotzkan Union in May 2020.
The party held more centrist views compared to that of the Arstotzkan People's Party and Communist League of the Arstotzkan Union and aimed for more openness with New Zealand, while the UGA strived for a focus on better sovereignty and independent governance over the Arstotzkan Union.
History
Originally established as the Fourth Reich Party, which was seen as a rebellion against the Arstotzkan Union. It reformed into the Arstotzkan Labour Party and was legally entered into the National Government of the Arstotzkan Union and held two seats in the National Assembly. It then became the first legal party created by new citizens. The party called for a democratic election to take place and it was decided that on 1 May 2020 it would take place. Offering the victor a place in both the National Assembly and Office of the President.
Following the failure to win the election, the Arstotzkan Labour Party was handed over to the United Government Alliance on the night of 12 May 2020 by the party leader, Zion Ormsby. When the United Government Alliance became the Second Democratic People's Party of the Arstotzkan Union, the Arstotzkan Labour Party was made a part of the party becoming one of the four to make the united party.
On 30 November 2021, Zion Ormsby was placed back as the directing head of the Arstotzkan Labour Party.
Months later, on 5 April 2022 the party was merged with the Arstotzkan People's Party and formed the Arstotzkan Future Party in the newly renamed Arstotzkan Social Liberal Democratic Party.
