The Arstotzkan Disease and Infection Direction Administration, formerly the COVID-19 Response Council is the head government agency tasked with the management and direction of pandemic responses in the Arstotzkan Union. Originally the task of COVID management was left to the Ministry of Health, but under the Ormsby - Gedye Administration, this was changed and former (at the time) First President Ethan Brinkman was placed as the Director Secretary of the new organisation.

History

The history of diseases and virus in the Arstotzkan Union had been very low until the COVID-19 Pandemic began in 2020.

In 2020 President Ethan Brinkman appointed the Ministry of Health as the main task force against COVID and it served well.

In 2021 following the end of the first Brinkman - Gedye Administration, then Prime Minister Ethan Brinkman who had been appointed as Chairman of the COVID-19 Response Council by First President Zion Ormsby wrote a report to the National Assembly and Office of the Presidency urging the creation of a government department tasked with all diseases, an Arstotzkan CDC as it was called.

Second President Peter Gedye agreed and allowed Prime Minister Ethan to establish the Arstotzkan Disease and Direction Administration.

Months later, in August, the ADIDA aided in the establishment of the Arstotzkan Union's first COVID related legislation, the Covid-19 Response and Public Health Safety Act 2021.

In May of 2022, the Arstotzkan Federal Government repealed the Covid-19 Response and Public Health Safety Act 2021, however they did continue the use of the ADIDA in case of any further outbreaks of COVID-19 post-pandemic.
