The Vice President of the Government of the Kingdom of Efransa, commonly referred to as the Vice President of Efransa (simply a the Vice President within Efransa) is the chief deputy to the President of the Government. The Vice President is elected on a joint ticket with the President.

The Vice President serves as the first person to succeed to the Presidency in the event of the President's resignation, death, or removal from office. The Vice President also frequently serves on various government boards and committees. The Vice President also frequently serves in either house of Parliament, and sometimes in the Cabinet.

History

The title of "Vice President" or "Vice President of the Government" has been a frequent title throughout Efrasachin history, particularly the latter. The deputy head of government of the first Kingdom of Efransa was titled as "Vice President of the Government". Similarly, the deputy head of government during the Imperial Period, the title was "Vice President of the Federal Government".

The deputy heads of state of the Republic of Tribarcas, later the Tribarcasian Federation, were styled as First and Second VicePresident. During the existence of Maradia-Fienomige, the constitutional deputy head of government was titled as "Vice President of the Council of Ministers". The Vice President of the Republic of Ludisirga was the deputy chief executive of the Republic of Ludisirga. The Union of Efransa was led by a collective Presidency. The current position was established by the Seventh Amendment on July 25, 2020.

Powers of the President

The Vice President is the deputy chief elected representative of the people and the chief advisor to the Monarch. They are often either elected or appointed to various government boards and committees.
