The National Intelligence Service (NIS) (Efrasachin: Servicie Nacionale od Intelligencie) (SNI) is the principal domestic and foreign intelligence agency of the Kingdom of Efransa. The SNI is divided into the State Security Division, and the Foreign Intelligence Division.

The NIS is overseen by its an Administrator, whom is an official in the First Ministry. The Director of the State Security Division is responsible to both the Administrator and the Minister of Home Affairs. The Director of the Foreign Intelligence Division is responsible to the Administrator and the Minister of Foreign Relations.

History

The NIS originated as two separate agencies in the Iblusigonian Empire, the Federal Intelligence Centre, and the Foreign Intelligence Bureau. Both were dissolved with the empire. They were succeeded by various intelligence agencies until the establishment of the NIS.

Structure

The NIS is overseen by its Administrator and divided into two Divisions.

State Security Division

The State Security Division (Efrasachin: Divicion du Securitad od Estat) is responsible for domestic intelligence and some security operations.

The Director of the DSE has overall responsibility for the division. There is one intelligence analyst and two agents, one in Parsrid, and one in Limone.

Foreign Intelligence Division

The Foreign Intelligence Division (Efrasachin: Divicion od Intelligencie Extrangé) is responsible for foreign intelligence and clandestine operations.

The Director of the DIE is responsible for the division. There is one analyst and currently only one agent, the Prime Minister.
