The President of the Government of the Kingdom of Efransa, commonly referred to as the President of Efransa (simply a the President within Efransa) is a senior officer of His Majesty's Government in Efransa. The President is designated as the chief elected representative of the Efrasachin people. The President also serves as chief advisor to the King, and assumes various functions allocated by the King.

The President is also the "leader of the Government", which has various interpretations, ranging from a ceremonial deputy in the moderation of Government operations to the King, to the ultimate authority in Government operations, the latter of which is often considered to place the King in a much more ceremonial role. According to King Ethan, the actual position is somewhere between the two.

The current President is Ethan de Borleandé, which is the civilian pseudonym of His Majesty King Ethan. As the inaugural President, his tenure is expected to have little historic importance, considering the fusion of functions of the Presidency and Monarchy. He is expected to delegate many Monarchical functions to the next Presidents however, assuming he is still reigning.

History

The title of "President" or "President of the Government" has been a frequent title throughout Efrasachin history, particularly the latter. The head of government of the first Kingdom of Efransa was titled as "President of the Government". Similarly, the head of government during the Imperial Period, the title was "President of the Federal Government".

The heads of state of the Republic of Tribarcas, later the Tribarcasian Federation, were staled as President. During the existence of Maradia-Fienomige, the constitutional head of government was titled as "President of the Council of Ministers", and the deputy head of state was titled as "President of the Council of State". The President of the Republic of Ludisirga was the chief executive of the Republic of Ludisirga. The Union of Efransa was led by a collective Presidency. The current position was established by the Seventh Amendment on July 25, 2020.

Powers of the President

The President is the chief elected representative of the people and the chief advisor to the Monarch. They are also leader of the Government, and assume various functions delegated by the Monarch. They also lead the independent agencies of the executive branch.
